Flexibililty is important in sports, fitness programs. If you're not flexible enough, you may get injury by overstreaching your limit. You may not enjoy the activity enough because of your limited range of movement.

With good flexibility, you can kick higher, reach for the shuttle easier, look more graceful in gymnastics, able to do some high difficulty yoga poses and so on.

So what are your methods , diet, warm up you do or other tips to help improve flexibility?

For me:
1. Do stretching regularly and incrementally. Instead of sparce and strain over the max
2. Warm up your body before stretching. It's easier to stretch after warm up.
3. Make sure correct position and posture, otherwise it'll restrict you and may injure yourself.
4. Relax your body and mind while streatching, cause when I'm tense i realize it's tougher to stretch more.

I know there are certain things that are counter productive ( can think of only 1 at this moment):
1. Don't jerk while stretching as this may tear your muscle. cry.gif

Looks easy but it is not easy all. Any mistake will end up back injury.
