@Babablacksheep,
Enrolment on MBA depends on where the Uni is based; most does it on a per semester basis due to small numbers and availability of classes [u'll realise students join with other classes as long as the subject's d same].

As to 'foreign MBAs' - a handful would require U to spend at least a semester or X number of weeks @ the respective Uni before U can fully complete the course but most will allow U to complete 100% locally.

@Gary1981,
It might not be the food eragon85 is after wink.gif

USQ mba dont offer full time but only part time. The class will be on weekends. Each module takes 4 hours. Its depend lecture wants to allocate on 4 hours each sat & sun, or 8 hours(9am-6pm) on 1 day

I suggest you gain more working experience first & read more management books before attached to MBA. Btw, there is a MBA book available at MPH tittle Guide to MBA, im not really remember the tittle which published by Victoria university MBA(sunway) grad student. Read that book & may help you.

Hmm,do u guys really think a lot more working expereince will benefit more when studying MBA? like say 5 years working exp..
currently i had 2 years
the reason i was thinking about MBA course now.. is that i realized my learning and memorizing capability is declining..
Not as sharp during my secondary and uni years...
currently i'm 25 years old...

I scared when the time i'm 28.. i can't cope with the learning, especially the memorizing parts tongue.gif

@Babablacksheep,
Education is about memorising but understanding. It's important that U understand where, what and how the theories come about so U can apply it to what U do.

@Babablacksheep,
You don't just memorise and regurgitate the theories; U need to apply it to a real world situation.

@mrdude,
Perception is that it's alwiz harder when it's marked, assessed & moderated abroad. Just be v careful not to plagiarise; it's v EASY to point out esp if the person marking the paper is v well read and updated.

Maybe... but if the local lecturer prepares the exam, it may be easier to gauge what will be on the exam, don't you think? I attended my first class last week, it seems the lecturer is giving materials that is not part of the USQ-issued study book (what's worse, his theories contradicts the guide book!). Seems to me the lecturer only teaches what he knows ....

I know when I did my undergraduate studies, if I attended the classes - I find it easier to pin-point what topics have more/less weight in the exams as the lecturer will guide you .... well, not in this course it seems smile.gif

As for plagiarism, you don't need a person to catch you...they already have computers for that! Even more 'terer'!

seem like the lecturer in segi is not that god.
how many students in ur class? Mostly how many yrs of working experience in ur class?

Does this means that it's better to take MBA after several years of working experience?

My situation : Doing Adv Dip in Mechanical&Manufacturing at TARC, will be goin to Sheffield Hallam Uni for top up degree program once i'm done with adv dip.

Choices :
1. SHU do offer master with 30% discount in fee for those who goes for the top up program, 1 year full time course. I think minimum 100k with living expenses and etc
2. Do it locally

Obviously the issue will be money, yes my dad can afford that UK route but considering my sis just got into college i'm considering local ones.

My parents are suggesting me to do it straight after my degree and full time as they afraid i might lose concentration if i do ir part time rclxub.gif

@mrdude,
Your local lecturer whether or not he is part time or full time should NOT be allowed to teach his OWN syllabus; he will be given a set of the syllabus from the Uni and certain guidelines to follow.

As much as he might not know what is going to come out for the exam, he should be able to advise U on what the important topics are.

@mrdude,
If the facilitator is not going following the syllabus, U should complain directly to the school; if the school doesn't listen and speak with him or replace him, U can alwiz escalate it to the Uni.

If U don't like my comments just ignore whatever I said; U are afterall the one who's doing the MBA not me!
