1. anyway, it is better if you could get some years of working experience before embarking on a MBA course to fully optimise your learning experience and contribute to your class discussions. otherwise, i would recommend you to take a masters in business, or masters in international business, masters in management or something of that variant. these programmes do not need prior work experience. any programme that calls itself a "MBA" and does not need work experience, dont bother to apply.

2. reading through many threads about MBAs in this forum, i have no idea why nobody has ever mentioned the 3 main accrediting bodies of MBAs. they are "AACSB" which is USA oriented, "AMBA" which is UK oriented, and "EQUIS" which is EU oriented. these 3 accrediting bodies have different aims and criteria which need the respective institution to fulfil in order to get accredited. though they are based in the USA, UK and the EU, any biz-school in any country can apply for accreditation, such as the NUS business school, being in SG, is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS. these three bodies are generally the same, meaning not one is more "prestigious" than the other. that being said, since the USA is generally the mother of MBAs, AACSB has naturally been around for a longer time and hence claim to be the peak accrediting body.

3. another factor to be considered is the ranking of the biz school itself. throw away all those uni-wide rankings like shanghai jiao tong rankings, QS, THES rankings etc. a highly ranked uni in those rankings does not mean it has a good biz-school, and vice versa. not many ppl, especially those with the tall poppy syndrome and happy-to-be-average folks will like what i say, but for an MBA, the MBA rankings ARE important. more prominent of these will include the financial times rankings of MBAs. you wanna do a MBA because you wanna be more marketable, gain a competitive edge over your peers in the employment industry, hence being happy to be average or get the cheapest MBA in the market ARE NOT the way to go to achieve your AIM for doing a MBA in the first place. the employers are not going to hire you and wait for you to perform to justify your employment. they will look at where you got your MBA, and justify your employment at that spot.

4. to conclude, firstly, is to get an MBA listed in the financial times MBA ranking (all these listed MBAs are accredited by at least one of the above 3 mentioned bodies, but not all accredited MBAs are in the rankings), secondly, if you are unable to get into the ranked ones, find at least a MBA that is accredited by AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS. for goodness sake, this is the bare minimum. other MBAs you should not bother.

5. some ranked MBAs available in msia are the nottingham uni MBA, the strathclyde uni MBA, as well as the manchester uni MBA in sunway. they are all accredited. other unranked but still accredited MBAs are also offered in msia, such as the university of south australia MBA. there are also alot of online options for an MBA by ranked and/or accredited biz-schools. anyone who calls himself a MBA candidate should have the elementary concept of Googling for more information. otherwise i cannot fathom how they are going to complete their MBA modules/ research and thesis writing.

i find it very annoying that some ppl who are looking out for MBAs actually dared ask direct questions on the admission rules and tuition fees. the course they should be enrolling is "how to Google 101" and perhaps buy a book on "enquiring admission staff for details for dummies"
