Did a test for DBKL payment.

1. Paid via M2U (other bank's card) - 5% cash rebate
2. Paid via UOBPosline - No rebate
*
means you got 5% using cimb cr card paying dbkl via m2u? but no 5% via posonline?

CIMB is really sweat.gif with their limit. Almost 8x my gross... crazy.
*
nowadays bank want to lock you with their cc only by providing you high credit limit. if you don't need such high cl, do request them to reduce it. otherwise, it will affect your other cc application and/or loan application.

CIMB finally sent me the cash rebate mastercard after 1.5 months. I really thought it was rejected and didn't bother to check with them! Problem is I'm now overseas and will not be back to m'sia for another 5 months. Anyone knows if they allow me to leave the card unactivated until 5 months later?
*
they sent to your house or to your preferred branch for self collection?

Thanks for your clarification. If this is the case, those floating amount will not charge on my statement as long as the merchant did not submit their claims during the statement date.
*
it's not a transaction and there's no floating amount. they will just temporarily block a rm200 from your credit limit. as mentioned, it's just a pre-authorisation for you to be able to fill in petrol. the finalised transaction will only occur after you put the nozzle back.

if you really worry about this, next time use petron instead. so far only petron able to preset the amount you want to fill, before you slot in your cc for payment. in this case, only the preset amount will be charged to your cc and there will be no pre-authorisation involved.

You can always using "preset" option to charge exact amount on pump, I know petron, shell and petronas has this option, didnt try others.
*
the preset you mentioned is the preset to fill the exact amount, not the preset to charge the exact amount. preset to charge the exact amount is the same like you go inside at the cashier, meaning that the exact amount is charged without withholding rm200 from your cc.

If you preset RM50 and fill RM20 you donate RM30 to the next person pumping I guess =) don't dare to try

If you already got 3 CC approve, chance of rejection is quite high. Because banks will see you as desparate, applying many cards. But no harm to apply anyway, the only cost is time.

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Mar 21 2016, 07:08 PM)
ok, next time i try preset 50 and pump 49.99, see what amount is posted
hmm.gif seems like my current available CL still minus RM200 for one petrol transaction even though that transaction has been posted
*
no need lah because i tried before. they still only charge the final amount after you put in the nozzle. lol... laugh.gif

from what i tried before, when preset to fill RM50, then insert card, it will only charge rm50 to your card.
but i not sure what happen if you preset RM50 and fill only RM20
btw, is CIMB CR can be apply in KLCC branch for 1 hour approval?
plan to apply this card after few months, just got 3 CC approve within 2016 = =
*
so you sure shell and petronas also can preset the amount before insert cc?

sorry, didn't try before.
shell and petronas I saw the option, but never tried since I already have CC at the time, and have no concern on the RM200
petron/Esso one is confirmed, because I always use like that when using my PBB Esso Debit card for rebate.

If you can preset first before insert CC, it should charge the present amount. If insert CC first, it should charge rm200 already.
*
i thought you have tried when you said shell and petronas also can do presetting. actually as far as i know, only petron can preset the amount before slotting your cc in. others all have to slot in cc before proceed.

shell can. I saw my sis did it before but it is quite troublesome. not sure is to key in the amount at which step.
anyway, u can ask help from the shell stuff and remember the step.
petron is the most easy and user friendly.
*
first step is to put in bonuslink. after that is cc. then followed by the amount you want to pump. but this is not preset for amount to be charged, this is preset for amount to be filled. once you put in your cc, rm200-rm250 will be preauthorised already.

unless they use system similar to petron whereby you can preset the amount to be charged first before put in cc. i know some stations although same brand but using different system, so the shell your sis went might be using petron type of system. i saw some caltex using shell system, some bhp using petronas system, and some petronas using shell system. lol...

fruitie may be u can suggest to LYN that for female members, their Names can be on a pink color background to distinguish them.
*
lyn is against racism. i assume it's against discrimination of gender too. nowadays it's equalised already. also, some members don't even comfortable telling people their gender. anyway, it's already ot. stick back to the topic.
