QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Feb 19 2016, 02:57 PM) I see a lot of CIMB staff using the trick... The problem is I don't have so many "real" groceries to buy. I have tonnes of visitors coming next week, thinking they will buy white coffee back from Malaysia, then can help them to pay with vouchers and they pay me back in cash. Then think again, better don't take the risk.

QUOTE(sendohz @ Feb 20 2016, 09:27 AM) considering to apply for a cimb card to get this coupon but the promotion will be expiring in end of march. Plus i never knew i can commit going to nu sentral everytime i want to pay my utilities and reload. So far i wasted like 600 worth of SAM points because i went there like twice to reload TnG. That's like once in two months, that is why i never thought of applying for the card. But now i'm paying astro, tm, and tnb for my family and relatives, therefore it's more beneficial to accumulate most of bill and travel to nu sentral to pay for it. Why need so many coupons if you are not going to use it so often? If you have so many bills, might as well apply for HLB Wise and Ikhwan MasterCard for better cash back on groceries. Even I have the CIMB CR, I seldom use it to pay my bills in Sam's. I don't have a wiser way to spend the voucher as I don't have much "real" groceries to buy.

QUOTE(kyle_kl @ Feb 20 2016, 08:40 PM) Anyone know pay assessment via uob payonline entitled for 5% rebate? I thought CIMB CR won't entitle you any cash rebate for transactions via UOBPayOnline? QUOTE(engyr @ Feb 20 2016, 09:02 PM) Anyone successful get the credit card by apply online? I'm one of them. Got it since last year's April.

QUOTE(sendohz @ Feb 22 2016, 08:34 AM) Yes you are right with the first point, why need so many points. My wise is for departmental category where i frequent Aeon Mid valley and shop my grocery there. I also have ikhwan and i;m using it at Sam's now. I've finally register for member and got myself rm 10 voucher plus the food container. So i will give CIMB CR a pass first. Points is fine with me but not vouchers.

QUOTE(k8zw3ll @ Feb 23 2016, 04:28 PM) Do you get bonus points when you spend using your cash rebate CIMB MasterCard ? Means get bonus points and rebates together on the same transaction ? CIMB CR has no reward points, there is another CIMB card that gives reward points.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Feb 24 2016, 04:52 PM) IIRC - Agoda will usually charge your card ( Regardless of pay later or pay now ) unless there state : Pay at Hotel. I usually book through Agoda, only hotel that need to pay over at counter is Mandarin Oriental The rest, Agoda collect the payment 1st. So far, Agoda most reliable in getting 5% and occasionally 7% off and 5% back. Booking.com usually more expensive and Expedia honestly sucks So far my Agoda is booked via VOX and get shopback. I'm just afraid I will miss out cash back from CIMB CR and it has this 0.8% border charges.

QUOTE(CSS @ Feb 28 2016, 05:45 PM) So UniFi is definitely out for the 5% with CIMB CR, what about other bills mentioned above, MBSJ in particular? Or is PB Visa Signature the way to go for online? MBSJ also no for CIMB CR. UOB VOX gives cash back if pay via UOBPayOnline. This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 28 2016, 06:14 PM

QUOTE(adele123 @ Feb 29 2016, 07:29 PM) it's OK now. So... for the past many months i've been paying outstanding balance (i.e. AFTER the cash rebate). However for the month of January, i've been charged finance charges for not paying the full statement balance. Oh well, other forummers beware... stick to paying statement balance So, this doesn't work anymore eh. Luckily I have been paying statement balance all this while.

QUOTE(munky @ Mar 7 2016, 05:11 PM) guys, im planning to take the cimb platinum cash rebate mastercard but theres one thing i dont understand regarding the fees & charges. What is finance charges for retail transactions? The charges are: 1.25% per month or 15% per annum if you have promptly settled your minimum payment due for 12 consecutive months 1.42% per month or 17% per annum if you have promptly settled your minimum payment due for at least 10 months in a 12-month cycle. 1.50% per month of 18% per annum if your payment record is not within either (a) or (b) above. What is this? All i know is it is different from late payment charge coz it is stated separately in the website You only need to worry about this payment if you pay minimum. If you pay full and on time, banks earn nothing from you. So no worries.
