Anyone here know someone working in CIMB as sales in Kuching?

Would like to apply CIMB Cashback card but hope to apply from the sales because everytime when i go to CIMB bank, they pass me to front counter and there is once they lost my document.
*
Why not just apply from online?

noticed that we could withdraw money from credit card. but is there any charges like this?? if there is none, then i could keep my atm card at home instead of bring 2 cards out.
*
Yes, this is considered as advanced payment and will incur super high interest which is calculated based on daily rate. Do not withdraw cash from credit cards at anytime.

I think this case is different from UOB Payonline. Instead of putting UOB or UOB Payonline, it displays the payee name directly. Guess that's the reason why it's not classified as online for Payonline.
*
Yeah, just noticed this on my UOB VOX as well as it shows TNB when I tested this payment few months ago, thank God, it is considered as online transactions under VOX.

update.

Payment Due Date on Sunday (17 Jan).
IBG from M2U on Monday (18 Jan) morning, credited in CIMB CR card same day afternoon.
No Late Payment Fee charged as of today (19 Jan)  thumbup.gif

I did call CS before IBG, agent said they have 1-2 days grace period. If kena late payment fee, she advised to call in for waiver. Not dare to test +2 yet, +1 is good enough.  blush.gif

Actually +1 or +2 is OK one. biggrin.gif laugh.gif
Tried with other banks. tongue.gif

yeah, max rm30 is for online. but if you didn't spend any on online, then your other categories like grocery, petrol, etc. can take up the whole rm50 cb. nod.gif
*
Oh, so it works this way but not the other round which can spend all RM 50 on online transactions.
Learnt something today. biggrin.gif

yeah, it used to be able to max all rm50 under online when the card just started/introduced. maybe too many people only maximising the whole rm50 monthly cb for online, so they revised it to max rm30 only for online. sad.gif
*
I see. laugh.gif
Not that it matters to me because VOX is still my first choice when comes to online transactions. laugh.gif

Ok guys, just some confirmation, since I made Astro payment via Astro website and that is also considered as Online payment and entitled for 5% CB, what if we make payment for Maxis (mobile and fibre service) via Maxis website, will that be considered as online payment.

Please share if any of you tested this scenario before.  Thank you
*
Astro is already tested by others some times back. laugh.gif
Nope, for mobile payments will not be getting back anything under CIMB CR no matter which channel you use.

Well the way you answer seems like he won't get "anything"... not even 2%
*
OK, different people interpret differently. smile.gif
Anyway, if want to pay bills and get 5% cash back, apply VOX and pay via UOBPayOnline. I have both of these cards and VOX works better for my spending.

Okay I can confirm, CIMB Cash Rebate gives 5% for payonline payment of Unifi bill. Just received for my latest payment.
*
Very good. rclxms.gif
It is strange that other payments via UOBPayOnline doesn't entitle for cash rebate but UniFi has. biggrin.gif
Another alternative for me if Wise and VOX fail. biggrin.gif

Based on same logic, all other merchants eg Tnb, Syabas, DBKL, MPSJ etc listed in UOB payonline also entitled for 5% rebate?
*
It seems like all this while payments through UOBPayOnline don't entitle not sure why this UniFi went through.

You guys can try.

Can I have supp card under using name too ??
*
Huh? Supp card must be different person. If you want online transactions and they are >RM 50 per transaction, you can also apply UOB VOX. Pure RM 50 cash back for online transactions.

CIMB CR is a good card too but too many restrictions and only RM 30 cash back. I chucked all my Grab Car, Uber and bus tickets in this card. laugh.gif

Those posts about UOB VOX, I have replied in UOB thread. It will be more appropriate to discuss there.

In conclusion, good to have two cards. biggrin.gif One for below RM 50 and one for above RM 50 and also good for MasterCard (CIMB CR) and Visa (UOB VOX) deal. rclxms.gif
