Hi all CC experts. Noob question here.
How to use CC (AMEX) to pay hire purchase (AMBANK) through maybank2u? is it possible?
*
Cannot. You cannot pay a loan with another credit (e.g. credit card).
With the exception of PTPTN loan which can be paid with CC. sweat.gif

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jan 17 2017, 12:59 PM)
hi guys,

Is it possible for me to transfer easy payment scheme from one maybank card to another maybank card?

I want to consolidate my credit cards and still have 6 months of auto-deduction for handset bought from telco under easy payment scheme. I want to transfer this to another new credit card (under same bank)
*
I think should be OK. Same case for card cancellation, can transfer to another card. Try to check with Maybank CS.

Applied UOB One Platinum CC two weeks ago, no news until today, so I followed up with my agent and I was told my application was being rejected. Not sure why, as my minimum income (excluding allowance/incentive) is higher than the minimum income requirement.

Anyway, when can I re-apply? Can I re-apply now or there is a period I can't apply CC from the same bank? Will the percentage of application being accepted higher or lower on subsequent application?
*
Any PTPTN outstanding? Try to appeal again instead of re-applying.

Nop, no commitment and no other credit card. This may be a silly question, but how do I appeal? Previously I have applied through agent at booth.
*
Send an email to their CS saying that you were recently rejected by them. Tell them you should be approved as you fulfilled the requirement. Ask them to reconsider your application again.

Be patient. Sometimes banks could take up to a month.

Is it true that we need to wait 6 months to apply for new credit cards if we already have credit cards which were activated recently?
*
No such thing. I applied few one shot before and all approved. smile.gif

i applied credit card online but was rejected, and couldn't think of the reason. I only have car loan and no debts (no overdue loan and didn't even have PTPTN).
So i am wondering if it is my bank statement balance is not convincing as i only provide current account instead of current and saving account. What are the reason that bank want bank statement?
Also must really wait for 6 months if my 1st application is rejected?
*
Actually if you are employed, 3 months payslip + EPF statement (optional) will be enough.
You can try to appeal again instead of re-applying.

i am employed and i gave payslip and bank statement.
How to appeal? i called the bank they just said they don't know the reason of rejection and ask me to apply after 6 months.
*
That's the standard answer. Well, you can try appealing via email, mention your application was recently rejected and you fulfill the requirements, ask them to reconsider again.

However, this is still up to banks to approve or not. Each of them has different evaluation system, if still cannot try again after 6 months or apply other banks.

Thanks. When the card requirements is 60k per annum, means that I need to have nett income ( after deduct EPF socso and others) of 5k per month?
Or just 5k of gross income?
*
5k gross income will do.

What is the minimum time frame I should keep a credit card after activating it? Would banks reject one's application for a credit card if say, in the past 6 months, he/she has activated 4-5 credit cards? Assuming credit score is unaffected.
*
No time frame.

So can one apply for 6 or more credit cards at one go and all will get approved without any problems?(Again, credit score unaffected)
There has been a discussion before whereby credit card was rejected because too many credit cards were activated in the past 2-3 months.
*
It also depends on your credibility and bank's evaluation.

I tried calling sc hotline but no option for cc application status... lol...

Will there be any consequences if both approved at the same time? Since I already have a card from different issuer now...
*
Unless you have lesser than 36k per annum, then you will need to cancel one or it won't be approved at all.

what is considered groceries shopping? is it shopping at those aeon, tesco, giant, coldstorage, etc?
*
Tesco, Giant, Cold Storage yes. AEON a bit tricky unless at supermarket area and you can see from the CC slip stated "SMKT" which means supermarket. Else AEON is departmental most of the time.
