Can. What kind of way you want to seek?
Peaceful & Relaxing?
Otaku?
Culture?
Food Hunter?
Architecture?

Soba most famous + most powerful are all located at Shikoku Island biggrin.gif

I try find those easy access at Kyoto. So can cut short the travel time.
The most famous.
1)権兵衛 << Gion-Shijo Station Exit No.7 Walk 2 minute
2)真手打そば処・ながの << JR Uji Station Exit 1 Walk 10 minute
3)しゅばく << JR Uji Station Exit 1 Walk 10 minute

Any recommended for Soba..? Only Udon are the best at Kagawa.
*
Shikoku people are expert on noodle. They eat noodle more than rice. Udon are legendary level. Cannot be compare already.
Soba also very nice. I like a shop at Matsuyama City. 400 years old shop.

QUOTE(shinoxun @ Mar 31 2016, 01:46 PM)
My plan is to take the earliest Shinkansen at 7am and reach there ard 1045am.
Our main priority is to hunt for the good food at OSAKA only.
Thanks.
*
Sry, cant help you this time. You should know this was a bad plan. Wasting Rm2k just for Osaka day trip.
But you still can refer to Page1. There are some food tips on Osaka specially the Kobe beef tips

Frankly this is one of the funniest things I ever heard in this thread lol. Put your foot down and tell your wife that an Osaka day trip makes no sense whatsoever. stick to Tokyo and come back to Kansai next year / next trip instead of doing such wuliao things doh.gif

Girls always "right"
Wait one day your wife do same thing to you baru tau.

Will be in Japan (Hokkaido-Tokyo on 30/4 to 15/5).

Day 16:15/5
Depart back to Kl (1145pm)
Should I stay longer in Hokkaido instead of Tokyo?
The detailed itinerary will be updated.
Will be using Jr. East- south Hokkaido pass (6day flexi pass).
Is Budget 150k to 200k per pax without accommodation, flight and Jr pass.
*
Crash with Japan Golden Holiday.
Good luck to you.
Even you got JR rail pass also doubt you can sit on train or not.
Forget about seat reservation coach. Sure fully booked. Your only chances was unreserve coach. Standing 4 hour from Hakodate to Tokyo.

Even traveling inside Hokkaido also hard. Full of people. Limited Express seat may fully booked. From Sapporo to Asahikawa , Obihiro , Niseko will be hard. If limited express fully booked. Study on local train route. Slowest plus need do transfer at station. Must do homework on this.

Page 1 Tips of the months still got alot more than this 2
Since just a day trips for food. Kuromon Ichiba market enough to spend your whole day.

QUOTE(AlienDex @ Apr 1 2016, 03:32 PM)
Yup I know Hakodate. That's why I'm going from Sapporo to Hakodate and overnight in Hakodate then next day evening only travel to Tokyo. For my Hokkaido, I put stay in Sapporo but the day trip not fixed yet. I'm flexible and just allocate stay in Sapporo. For the weather, I checked its averaging 14 degree? Can regentcid give some enlightenment on the weather? 😁
Noted on your comment and will study the local train too. If local train, the Jr pass can still be used?
Yup 1st timer but done ice skating before. Is it worth to only go top and see see if not ski/ board?
Thank you
*
Golden week going kill you. Not worth going Ski Resort just for see see. Because will full of people. If you unlucky faced traffic jam. Kantoi!!! habis!!!
JR East South Hokkaido Rail Pass can used on any JR train at Hokkaido + East of Japan.
From fastest ''Shinkansen'' to Super fast ''Limited Express'' to fast ''Rapid'' to slowest Local Train

RegentCid master sifu, i got question about tateyama kurobe alpine line transport

1. Do i need to reserve the transport ticket first? since i will be travel at the super peak period.

2. If i past the reserve time, does it still usable?

3. round trip ticket is it usable for 2 days? i will be staying at tateyama

but i still not confirm the reaching time to tateyama station (self drive), the ticket is not cheap.
FYI, maybe u can put this site for those who self drive in Japan
http://www2.kumagaku.ac.jp/teacher/~masden/tolls/ - how to check toll fees guide

Tateyama Alpine Route I never go with Driving. I always go by train. Start at Nagoya > Gero Onsen > Takayama > Toyama > Tateyama Alpine Route > Matsumoto > Nagoya

Always thinking want to share or not............This info just too valuable!!!

Nvm lah.......Just exposed it lah

http://touristpass.jp/common/pdf/forGenera...n_alpine_ja.pdf
This is the Pass I used.
Unlimited Rides on Tateyama any transport. JR Limited Express unlimited Rides!!
Just 17,500Yen!!!

Old one was 18,090 yen But got including Tatyama gorge rides. Now this new one no more.

i stay 2 days in Furano & Biei last year end of july, recommended self drive, there is a lot of hidden place only can access by car.
if u self drive, recommended home stay at kami-furano, furano will be more convenient for public transport
distance between Biei and furano is just about 30 mins drive, kami-furano is in between.

At night you can visit 十勝岳望岳台 for milky way(car required), but depending on the weather, remember to bring touch light, it will be super dark
on the way up, you can see a lot of fox crossing the road, pls drive slowly.

beside eat the raw corn recommended by RC, also try the raw tomato thumbsup.gif
Hi, I'm planning to travel in public transport as only me & my mum so i think it's not so worthy to rent a car. Moreover, we need to apply for International Driving Permit in order to drive in Japan. Thanks for ur advice and sharing.

Day 9 impossible.
Kamakura + Hakone already impossible. Due to distant gap. Yokohama go at night.

Kamakura + Enoshima making more sense.
Hakone go together with Lawa Kawaguchi

Considering to stay in Tokyo maybe for the activities that's more interesting than in Yokohama. I'm not looking at AirBnB because I am bringing an elderly and will need to have a proper bed for health reasons. Also, I'm looking at these lines and can somebody help me with understanding how to travel to Tokyo and Yokohama?
