My set is an absolutely gem. Very good quality build and smooth like butter. 4GB ram can multi task like a boss, even if restart the apps also very fast. Better than most of the devices I used before.

I have used Mate 7 before, Mate 8 had improved in every way. The fingerprint is lightning fast and super accurate, so far never fail to recognize my 3 registered fingers. UI seems to be less heavy or maybe the newer processor and extra rams make a significant difference.

GPS lock, signal reception all very good. The battery life is really power, on battery for more than 25 hours and SOT 5 hours 30mins already, it still left with 20% juices. Very impressive.  thumbup.gif

I have to really agree with you on this "GPS lock, signal reception all very good" icon_rolleyes.gif

1 thing i already notice after less than a days usage, the touch screen isnt as sensitive as the note 5's.

on note 5, i barely have to touch twice for the same function. on the mate 8, that has happened few times.

It's because you already get used to Note 5 before bro.

Last week I went to Huawei store and compared my note 5 with mate 8 side by side. The screen of mate 8 was indeed less sensitive compared to Note 5. it's not that mate 8 was having issue on touchscreen. Note 5's touchscreen is simply more sensitive compared to other phone. So it might confused you and made you think mate 8 is not sensitive once you switched from Note 5.

I have tried many phones out there. I also bought a few different brands in past few years. I do find out that Samsung phone screen is more sensitive compared to the others. I guess they are using different pressure technology on their screen? hmm.gif

Anyway, use it for couple of days. You will get used to your new phone screentouch eventually. As long as you don't go back to note 5 la. If you still using both phones at the same time, you sure will always feel that note 5 is much sensitve.

Just bought the 3gb ram mate 8 version and noticed the bottom portion (above Huawei logo) of the screen/lcd is a little bit yellowish on white color. How about yours?
Should i claim warranty?

Anyone?

It's quite common on IPS screen. If it's not serious and obvious, most people would just ignore it. Anyway, You can try to claim for warranty. But it's not guarantee that you won't get the same issue on the other new set.

I used lenovo P70A b4 this, it has a better batt life from what i observed. But mate 8 has a 6 inch lcd so it is still doing amazing job.

Mate 8 battery life is close to double that of Note5

May i ask what casing you guys using aside from the flip casing given? Absolutely hate flip casing lol
*
I'm using the spigen ultra hybrid. The quality is quite good and solid. Feel sturdy on hand. The flip case is quite good and quality also not bad. But still find it troublesome with the flip case especially taking pics.
Using a tempered screen protector now. But already scratched less than a week usage. Went to the beach recently... I guess must be the sand.
