I'm considering of getting myself a mate 8 at Huawei outlet tmr or during the weekend. Any ongoing promotion if buying directly from Huawei outlet? Still can't decide to get the 3GB or the 4GB version

just got my mate 8. Any apps that can transfer all contacts, pic and apps data from my note 3 to mate 8?

My first impression on mate 8. I got the champagne gold colour because the mocha Brown is not available from the Huawei shop that I went to. I was attracted to gold once I hold the phone. The build quality is just excellent. The SOT after first charge was about 8 hours. Usage include YouTube videos, messaging and video call. I would say I'm very impressed with the battery life. More than double from my old Note 3.

Overall I'm quite satisfied with every aspect of the phone. I think Huawei really know what consumers want. Great phone design, excellent battery life and great performance. The camera is good enough for me. Probably I came from note 3 which I think is a huge upgrade. Everything is running buttery smooth

The few downside is the UI and the keyboard. I've replaced it with nova launcher and SwiftKey. The screen quality is nice with more natural colour compared to AMOLED. But I notice that the screen is not as sensitive as my note 3. Sometimes I can just scroll with my finger nail tip on my note 3 but not so on mate 8 despite I already on the glove mode. Don't really think this an issue, just need some time to get used to.

Guys...just want to highlight one issue. Yesterday i missed my Whatsapps and Line msg notification for the first time after using this phone. The messages only came when i open the apps. Then i realised under the battery manager, there is an option where you can click the optimise button. After analysing, it will show some battery draining issues which include apps that are secretly consuming power. Those listed apps including all my messaging apps like whatsapps, line and wechat etc. If u click save power it will automatically disable those apps eventhough i have put those under protected apps. So until u open those apps back, u will not be able to receive any notification.

Those apps i already set it as "protected". But under the optimisation it will still force close the apps.

Any good tempered glass SP to recommend? My original SP have some defect and thus i removed it. I already ordered Spigen Ultra Hybrid case for my phone and feel that the screen might be vulnerable to crack wihout tempered glass SP.
Any forumner selling it in garage sales or website to look for?

any difference between different thickness?

I noticed there's some lagging when scroll through certain apps like Facebook, play store and even chrome. Don't know what's the problem.
Also the touchscreen sensitivity is slightly less. For other phone the touch will be registered even with the slightest contact. But for mate 8 I need a bit of pressure. I've tested without the screen protector as well.

I'm using the spigen ultra hybrid. The quality is quite good and solid. Feel sturdy on hand. The flip case is quite good and quality also not bad. But still find it troublesome with the flip case especially taking pics.
Using a tempered screen protector now. But already scratched less than a week usage. Went to the beach recently... I guess must be the sand.
