I have verified with Mi Malaysia that my set (bought from Lazada) is original, but warranty is not under Mi Malaysia.

I've also contacted Lazada. Right now their understanding is that it is under local warranty but they will check further and get back to me by tomorrow. They said that if it's confirmed that the product is not as claimed (local warranty) on their website, i can return and obtain a full refund.

I will rely on Mi Customer Service's confirmation that it's NOT a local set, even though Lazada or its supplier (ECS Astar) says it is. My next cause of action will be to return and refund after receiving a call from them.

come lah join the gang. We fight for option 3. make them give us xiaomi msia warranty sets smile.gif

their next sale / availability is on 10/12 - we only have a few days to take action ohmy.gif

In the meantime, we all shud do like joexoll & post disappointed review on their product sales page. saw someone oredi posted with his order number. That should make them sit up & take notice flex.gif

Heard that before. Also, RN2 from lazada have English user guide.. So definitely it is MY set. I wonder if people buy ori set from DirectD or satugadget, do they give receipt from xiaomi?
*
Actually english user guide not conclusive. HK sticker means for HK market ... they must have english instructions for HK market.

QUOTE
However, they accept receipt / invoices issued by shops for warranty claiming. (For MY units only)

hehehe how to determine MY units? I think check IMEI leh tongue.gif

thanks bro smile.gif point taken & actually acknowledged a few pages ago. I only mentioned the hk sticker again to say that in HK they do require english instructions too wink.gif

Lazada items can be returned at Mail Boxes Etc (MBE). They're authorised agent for return collections and located at many places.
*
That sounds good. But money refund how? I dun have lazada account. bot using email option wor

Also takut they say I messed up their phone & withhold my refund.

kinda shitty situation smile.gif

Bro, if you are on the phone with them tomoro, try ask them ... maybe they hv arrangement with xiaomi msia but not updated our IMEIs on their system yet? Also ask if they can replace with xiaomi m'sia sets smile.gif

Thanks

I also want to check with them whether it's really cash refund into my credit card or store credit like Zalora. I want cash so that I can place order with Mi Malaysia.

Will also ask them if it's possible for them to replace a Mi Malaysia set for us, other than refund method. I also hope that it's a technical issue that our IMEIs are not updated on their system.

One thing to confirm whether our units are local or not is to check whether it comes with global or China rom. okuribito can u check urs since u have opened it? Thanks in advance.

And also those who have bought from Lazada, kindly make a call to them to reflect the situation. More complaints received should yield more concrete actions from them.
*
thumbup.gif global or china rom?? actually me totally blur when it come to tech. how to check arrrrr?

btw, i check their returns & refunds page but dun understand their "For which reasons can I return an item?" matrix. If in my case already opened, which reason will apply? Website-incorrect content??

hahaha - the reason i might wanna return for full refund is that they are blardy cheating... hehehe assuming they did not make a mistake in getting the IMEIs onto xiaomi malaysia's database lah

hehe reallly zaaar lunnnn dou (any canto speakers out there?) go checkout zalando.com... it's the mother of zalora.com & uncle of lazada.com tongue.gif

Well i guess we can ask the rest who have bought AP sets to verify and post their regulatory information, then we will know the difference!  smile.gif
*
ask those who bought from Xiaomi M'sia as well wink.gif

xakarix84 we have to sit down with lazada ppl to sort it out soon. The pieces are coming together BUT Lazada holds the key. Our objective is to get onto the IMEI database. Once we're on it, we can go any service center if shit happens to our phones smile.gif

If u get it replaced at telcos, their simcards are usually the convertible type. Meaning that you will get it in normal sim size, but the middle part can be detached and become a microsim. You just keep the outer part and affix the microsim back into it, if you need to use it on your old phone. No adapters required then.  biggrin.gif

Bro, I suggest that u check with Mi again in the coming days. If really not reflected in their system, then only contact Lazada. So far the Lazada staff who is investigating my case hasnt gotten back to me yet.

If u ever email Lazada, just email then nicely haha. Sometimes it's easier that way smile.gif

Yup I wonder why those details are not included. Or maybe that is just Lazada's standard printout for orders?
*
hahaha i let go frustration here only smile.gif

hmm.gif I thought you kaw tim the customer service & they prioritise ur case. Aiyooooo still not get back to you? Just to be sure, I suggest you go to amcorp mall service center on monday and re-confirm leh

The lazada cs said warty covered by mi m'sia  =.="
*
the CS probably look at the product page which says 1 year Xiaomi M'sia warranty & simply read that to you LOL.

I just wonder if they have any record of what they sent us. Just the fact that the invoice/receipt does not hv the phone IDs makes me shake my head. They say just bring that piece of Lazada paper to service center. But anyone can go print a similar document on blue paper. No IMEI, no S/N.

Form a group. We go have teh tarik with this handsome young man

Just did some googling... while we were waiting for our deliveries on Thursday, he was having a press conference in his office in bukit bintang. I think that's their PR agency contact at the bottom. Maybe we as a group can send them a "press release" also tongue.gif

OMG ... Guys, I've just talked to another CS, Leena. LOL ~

This morning, the guy CS told me that my set wasn't covered but Leena has confirmed that it's in fact covered. LOL ~

And, she even attached the prove (screenshot) for me. tongue.gif

Guy, try your luck again. Load (and reload) until you get her and not the guy CS to check your warranty status. tongue.gif
*
Xiaomi CS?? can share the screenshot ? blackout your iMEI lah. I tried again this morning. still china mad.gif Can u ask them if they can see if your status was changed recently? ie do they have record of when your unit changed from china to m'sia set?

Trying to figure out if someone did something to change the status. And who that someone is...
