QUOTE(Mr. Z @ Jun 1 2007, 01:20 AM) Broken string - if u want food and bedding for hedgies, u can go setapak petshop at jln genting klang, there is RC there and i think chipsi or delikate bedding... in case u are thinking of getting the apple flavoured bedding there, dun get it.. i know u ll be as tempted as me lol.. but according to hun they ll make the smell worse.. if u want storage, there is carefour wangsa maju, as for breeder's celect.. i m not sure.. i bought it in sunway when i was on a spree for my gf's hedgie.. lol... there, all ur stuff is readily available in setapak.. no need to worry about going anywhere else to get it.. Mochi - hehe, yeah i felt so lucky that day, coz she looks so adorable, i felt like a proud and dotting daddy.. lol.. Hahaha.... not to say it will make the smell worst, but the perfume can harm the hedgehog's breathing and lungs.... So the best is the Chipsi Classic or Chipsi Super or Delikate. I think only Pets Wonderland petshop carries Chipsi Super. Breeder's Celect can be found in Taman Melawati Pet Epicure petshop hehehe.... Well, I don't own a car but I still go to Pet Safari and Pets Wonderland.... use public transport lah hehehe.... got LRT and feeder buses so it does make life a bit easier.... of course a car would be very convenient lah.

The reptile section was gone.. instead they placed hamster and small animal supply there... Eh hun, they ran out of mealworm and cricks... where did u get urs? anywhere in setapak selling them? Broken - String : chill man, take ur time.. while u are waiting, study more about them before buying.. it helps alot.. hehe, anyway good luk on ur search.. Yah, Pet Family having a school holiday sales... from 10% to 40% discount.... what I know is ExoTerra stuff are off 40% hahah... so I'm going on Monday. QUOTE(Mr. Z @ Jun 4 2007, 11:38 PM) My hedgie is still having watery stool... i tried feeding it with cricks and mealworm.. its been almost a week.. but the stool is still watery.. is this normal for young hoggies hun? I just bathed her with warm water just now.. she seems to be scratching on and on.. might try changing her bedding tomorrow.. coz there doesnt seems to be any mite.. Watery stool? Hmmm.... coz normally the normal stool should be dark brown, moist but never runny. It could be that the gut is not strong.... erm, I remember that you should feed some bacteria supplement, something like the cultures in yogurt but I am not sure if you can feed yogurt or not lah. Your hedgie got no mites coz I checked liao.... but she got dry skin, dandruff. So just keep bathing with the oatmeal shampoo. If you want, I got herbal pet shampoo for itchy and dandruff skin, you can take some to use.

You hedgie is going through quilling stage. It is normal when they are around 4 to 5 months old, everyday, sure will drop quills... don't worry. The quills will grow back.

QUOTE(zal @ Jun 6 2007, 01:12 AM) hehehehe.... i see, thanks, and 4 the scratching? thinking of getting another one, my cat seem to ga along well with duri!! you know hedgehogs are solitary rite? Now i got 3 of them but all kept separately.... so if you get another one, you must not keep them together. Also, if you are thinking of breeding, do research Scratching could be a sign of dry skin. Is it flaky like got dandruff? Do you know how to see mites? Coz mites are like dust particles but they move. They are very very tiny and are white in colour.

QUOTE(zal @ Jun 6 2007, 01:33 AM) i know, gonna keep them separately, too early to breed them, bcoz im just learning....hehehe...i thik just dry skin, bcoz got like dandruff behind the ears, put lotion can arr? if i get one in kl, can take it home by bus arr?in penang/kedah, all are 3 month n above already!! So you wanna breed? Do not breed them early. The female needs to be around 8 months to start breeding.... but you must be aware that when a female is stress or unhealthy, it will kill its own babies. you must check clearly. Almost all hedgehogs coming from petshops HAVE mites. A sign of dandruff can be a sign of mites. They are super tiny. You need a bright light and magnifying glass to see carefully.

Wash and air out. Normally it won't have smell if you don't cover. We don't cover the box so no fumes are formed.

Yah... big pack is 2.5kg... I also no choice, bough the 2.5kg hahaha.... but looks good. Currently I mix Orijen dogfood for Sparky and Donut and also the new guy but it is too big, so the cat version would be better.
Hahah... yah, creamy creamy... could be a Cinnacot or something else.
