You must let him know that you're a friend to him. You can hold him even he curls up. Let him uncurl on your hand. Once he uncurls, give him a reward (mealies). Soon he'll know.

Hahaha.. Setapak's carrefour always out of stock. I bought mine at Kepong branch. But i found this first at MV branch. I bought it at RM59.90. The hidebox you bought is real big. I think bigger than the one i bought for Ren. So when you get the wheel, may be the tank can't really accommodate coz the hidebox occupied most of the space.

I guess you need to.

The hidebox broken_string using for katchai can get it at PS. PS selling this kind of plastic hidebox. As for the breeder celect, you may try to search at PS as well. If you stay in Sunway area, go find it at Pet Shack. Joan selling this cat litter.

Yup. PS = Pet Safari. Lol... Yup. Quite limited with those petshops. Can get more things at PS but with abit more expensive price. I got most of my things there. Can't even get things in PW. Hahahaha...

Hahahaha.... Not so sure mixing both shaving & cat litter can last how long. But I use only shaving and i change it around 2 weeks once. Coz i do pick up the bedding that have poo or pee & add some new inside.

Normal for hedgie to be smelly. That's their pee smell. Lol.. Ren also very smelly coz he sleeps on his pee when on wheel. His bottom fur become yellowish because if this . So you need to wipe him with baby wipes to make sure he's clean. Bath him if needed but do towel dry him well. Don't let him gets cold.

Nah.. Hedgehog doesn't sit nicely & let you bath. Sure he'll try to run away from bathing. Ren keeps walking nonstop to find way out & even wants to climb out.

Btw, be prepared he'll poo during the bath time. Remember change the water once he poo.

Hahahaha... Once they are scare, they'll poo. This happen to most of the hedgehog. Lol... So you have to be prepared.

Not really difficult to bath a walking hedgehog. Just grab him back & scrub him again. Lol...

Hahaha.. They are afraid of water. So they poo a lot. Remember not to let water gets into the ear. Scare ear infection...

What shampoo do you use? May be the shampoo doesn't suit him.

Oh... Then no worry. Just normal scratching. But do check on him whether he has mites problem if he scratching too frequent.

Avoid the head part when you bath him next time...

Hahaha.. He will remember you. Don't worry. Ren was with akachester for 3 months. He still remember me when i got him back. Lol... So no problem just only few days. ::

I never see Ren coughing before. But hissing does happen most of the time when sudden disturb him. Just leave him a day first. He might get stress. Leave your smelly shirt with him for few days. He's new with the environment, so he might not want to sleep inside the hidebox. Just leave him what he likes to do.
