You try put 1 or 2 worms inside his food bowl along the cat food. Check it tomorrow morning. If you see no worm means he eats it. Then try hand feed him another mealworm to see his reaction.

Nope. Doesn't really hurt if you know how to handle. First time might feel bit pain like needle poke. But once you get use to it, you don't feel it.
