Yup. Without the cover. I bought quite a big one so my boy can't climb out. Do get a hidebox for the hedgie or you can custom made it from ice cream box. I think the first few posts did show the way to make it.

Long travelling might stress the hedgie but you can try. Just make sure that when you reach, let the hedgie to rest for a day or 2. Make sure the hedgie is with you during the journey.

You can try use shoe box to bring it back. I think it will be more comfortable in shoe box as it's dark enough.

Hahaha.. The one i mentioned has no problem for any small animals like guinea pigs, hedgehogs as it's just same as those hamster wheel which is in bigger size.

Oh... Haven't. That day thought buying for my doggy. But then couldn't find it. Only can go during weekend. Weekdays working till quite late. The shop already closed by the time i reach. Hehehe...

Hahaha... Yaya.. Only light off during night, they will only come out for food, drink & play. Ren is on his wheel every night after the light is off. He can run for hours nonstop. But once tired will just sleep on the wheel. Lol... The if light 's on suddenly, he will quickly run back to his igloo. Hahaha...

Hmm... Not really train Ren before. I just put a ceramic plate inside his tank. He will go there poo & pee on his own. But really have to depend on his mood. Sometime he takla syok, then he'll poo/pee other place.
But after i got him the wheel, he only poo/pee on wheel or just a step front of the wheel. |

The one shown in the tank setup pic can be used for baby hedgie. Ren has no problem with it when he was a baby boy. You can get it at PS reptile part for RM5 each.

Hahaha... Welcome to the pokimon family... All hedgehog will be like that when your hand sudden appear. Ren always in knight mode when my hand approach suddenly when i disturb him wakes up. But after few second will be ok. You try hand feed him so that he recognize you faster. This is what i did. Wakakakaka... Handle more he'll be tamed.
About the bedding, depends on you. I put around 1 inch thick. |
