im commuting mainly on motorbike so if there's a roadblock well you know how police treats us bikers

besides there's this one guy said that he got stopped randomly by a cop at kl sentral searched his bag and confiscate his knife

other than nitecore tube im also considering niteize inova

but then i came across this very very small light and interested as well

http://multitools.com.my/true-utility-mult...5-nanolite.html

im using the flashlight mainly to search for seats in the cinema and looking for keyholes when im back home at night things like that so i dont really need high lumens as long as it's small enough to be carry on my keychain with no cumbersome

ohh understood.. if i work that kind of place oso i will chicken hehe

but my other trick when i go to less kampung place is to put it inside my first aid kit biggrin.gif

or u could get those tactical pouch like maxpedition GROT got carry a few

uhh i only mention liner lock cos u mention frame lock.
i obviously know what thumb stud is as i said already earlier...

i dunno if that breaking in period applies or not... more often than not its just the 2 frames spreading apart abit then just need to tighten again.

no i just mean opening n closing mechanism not really dependent on each other..

cos opening be like only depends on the screw or whatever spring it attached to only right? biggrin.gif

maybe, maybe not tongue.gif
the lockbacks i have quite easy to open.
shouldn't liner lock need closer tolerance else if screw holding it too loose the blade can just slip out of the lock?

Ok... anyone have any opinion on this?

I already have the schrade SCHF10 and that little thing is extremely sturdy and robust! A very well spent $40

because maybe dangerous items la that's why.
i mean, i read some threads asking even the legality of carrying a folder knives.
in other countries got regulations on knives so i'm just being wary. nothing wrong about knowing your own country's law.

and those are stores. maybe they have licence to sell maybe? i don't know. i have not delve into this issue deeper yet

from what an inspector tells me...all knifes that are close to 4" or longer are illegal to be carried in public, even folders.
if the polis got any sense that u are a danger to society...heck even 2" knife also they can arrest u for.
so of cos they also see face... whistling.gif

His concern was buying it from ebay.

hence I say knives are NOT illegal to import into malaysia.

But, that Santoku you bought form MidValley? Take it out and swing it around in public see the cops throw you in the slammer or not.

That parang you are using when jungle trekking? Take it to KLCC and see what happens.

as for EDC, I try to keep it to 3", and put it in a bag or something. and when the cops stops you with it, for goodness sake dont say its for "self protection" that implies hurting someone with it. Say its for peeling that apple in your bag or that for opening cardboard boxes etc.

Oh and ofcourse they see face... .u quality for /k standard of 20k get a little extra leeway tongue.gif

actually im considering a ganzo before but then knowing our law regarding knife i refrain from buying any folder

besides i already have a knife in my *cough* gerber *cough* gdc money clip

currently im using this panasonic keychain light

its good enough but the battery is not replaceable

[attachmentid=6041047]

looking for something small with atleast 10 lumens
totally considering nitecore tube

it's available on lazada i think

i dont know where to get the others that you mention

but im really interested with the dqg fairy

i use olight i3e now...replaced my fenix ld01.
using fenix most of the time i will use medium or high, and fenix mode is M-L-H...so twisting to high all the time gets boring.
so looking around for a single AAA light that always comes on in high...not many around...
so olight i3e with just one mode at 100lumens is just right...cheap also rm48 i think i bought for.
