If you're wondering what those numbers are, they are actually sizes for hex screws. I bought this at a local hardware shop for about RM9. Then bough some screws because the provided screws are too big.
Do you EDC?

QUOTE(Armata @ Jan 22 2016, 02:48 PM) Coz if i put them in /k, it will be swamped with stupid stuffs...i dont want non-EDC to come in and kacau..and most dare not because if kena report straight bora2... Ah I see. Sure no problem then.Hence i have it in RWi...it's real, and it's serious stuff...EDC not for everyone, only niche group.... Nice..the last time i saw this was at EDC forum..wanted to try, but i dont have tools that can cut keys or punch a nice hole on them. Wat u use to drill them out/cut those keys? And btw, swiss tech or something, sells this kind of key holder...and some of it s model come with a sharpened key to act as a knife...u can get the saw type if u want too. but not cheap..each around RM80 or so.. I bought this one Gundam tool kit when I was still making Gundam : ![]() The grind(not sure the name) at he far back is only 5mm wide, so I could use it to grind a bit more hole in my keys to fit the screw. There's this Keysmart that ran a Kickstarter before. it starts at $20 for an aluminium build and goes up to $45 for titanium. Oh and mine is prett heavy though. The same, if not a bit more than my iPod touch |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jan 22 2016, 06:18 PM) Actually, you can make this more useful by buying a few different sets (these come in sets of Torx, Allen and 3 Philips/3 slot combo). And for 8.90 each, they aren't expensive to start. I have all 3 sets in my car. They have a set that is slightly more than 1/2 inch shorter @ 6.90 that you can use to canibalize the tools from. That's a good idea, bt even with only 6 keys, the final weight isn't something i would call light.Mix and and match and you have a key holder with some additional tools. And the phillips/slot tool is much more useful than any found on those mini multitools. The only problem with mixing in tools is the possibility it'll disrupt the thickness. And unless you plan well, it'll look weird with one side being thicker while the other thinner or one side has ore stuff while the other has less stuff. (I'm very anal about having my stuff symmetrical, so either of those problems will surely irritate me) I guess it depends on your personal needs. For me, it would be cool to add more, but the stupidly thick "grip" and weight of it is a turnoff for me to add any more. Interesting that the have the other screws. My place only had the torx set. Bummer. On the topic of key holder/organizer, I found this the other day : ![]() http://superclassic.jp/?pid=51202 It can't hold any extra tools or a lot of keys, but for the essential ones, it'll work. Plus there's a coin pouch. Very useful for us Malaysians where we are still very reliant on coins but use a slim wallet with no place to put your coins. Too bad the price is kill. QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jan 24 2016, 06:02 PM) [attachmentid=5902668] I guess that one is expensive due to the leather probably. I dunno. Here are my Mr.DIY budget specials. 1) Folding knife 2) Mini multitool 3) Customized Folding tool (2 Philips, 1 slot, 2 Allen), made by combining 2 different sets) 4) AAA LED flashlight. Prob spent less than rm45 for everything...and very light and compact (the longest is the flashlight at 10cm, rest don't exceed 8cm when folded) EDC don't have to expensive as long as it serves the purpose. An expensive Leatherman might give you a better blade and pliers but nothing beats dedicated screw bits...especially M5 and M6 Allen bits. But bruh... That knife tho... Where?! |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jan 24 2016, 08:11 PM) LOL. Dont expect some exotic metallurgy for 8.50. The blade has what looks to be some printing on the surface. Ah I see. Well, it's at that price anyway so yeah Blade is soft and don't hold its edge for very long, but it is easy to sharpen quickly, and quite sharp when freshly sharpened. Serves its purpose of occasional use. The only thing out of the colour theme is the metal flashlight. I do have other coloured anodized single AA sized LED flashlights that also does a reasonable job for the price. Oh i think it actually fits pretty well in fact. since the color theme is red + silver. It's not too out of coordination really. |

Any good place to try and buy knives in KL area?
I only know Thomas Tools (for online purchases), but they lack CRKT knives to sell. |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Feb 24 2016, 05:53 PM) last shipment i bot direct from ebay. because maybe dangerous items la that's why.Seller ownself declare as some workign tools, courier it all the way to me. Knives are NOT illegal, why u so worried. U saw Aeon selling a bunch of Bucks? i mean, i read some threads asking even the legality of carrying a folder knives. in other countries got regulations on knives so i'm just being wary. nothing wrong about knowing your own country's law. and those are stores. maybe they have licence to sell maybe? i don't know. i have not delve into this issue deeper yet |

Anybody tried importing knife or multitool (with knife) recently? Planning to get Kershaw cqc6k from the US because friends are also importing some stuff so wanna piggyback
Found some older threads but not sure if updated or not. Even if got held by customs, I wouldn't mind if only my knife get held, just don't want to get my friends stuff also get held because of the knife So yeah, hope someone can share their experience importing knife |
