Any good place to try and buy knives in KL area?
I only know Thomas Tools (for online purchases), but they lack CRKT knives to sell.
*
u could try GROT Ghost Recon Outdoor in shah alam.. they have some pretty neat tactical stuff too

but hor, y u like crkt so much when theres so much more brows.gif

among all of your edc what is the items that you really use the most or on a daily basis and you just can't leave home without it?

other than the essentials wallet keys and phone i seems to be naked if i go out without my pen

i used it everyday even at office when there are plenty of free pens available lol
*
wallet keys phone watch sunglasses
knife n flashlight
water bottle paracord bracelet

i think pretty much in that order

i've thought about ganzo. i like their copied axis locks. a good alternative from the pricier benchmade ones. i'll check some out i guess lol
*
Not sure what axis lock means but I think ganzo really have extensive line w various features..

Ok ma cheaper ganzo but with proper care with expensive diamond sharpener lol

this is the axis lock. nice to have if you don't like liner lock (like me).
i want a better blade. not rajin to sharp lol
*
QUOTE(Everdying @ Feb 24 2016, 08:15 AM)
the axis lock looks like a variation of the lockback, just easier to close the blade with axis tongue.gif
i dont like liner lock as much cos closing it much easier for right handers... and im lefty even tho i adapted to using on both hands now.
*
ahh so thats the axis lock.. i think got played with it before.. so thats a benchmade design am i right?

its not really easy for me to handle a liner lock as well but i prefer that than frame lock damn that one is heavy!

QUOTE(lukescamwalker @ Feb 24 2016, 09:19 AM)
Its China made bruh. Value for money & good quality for an imitation. But ill definitely stay away from its benchmade copy of axis lock.. just to be safe laugh.gif
*
i see.. china made korean brand something like that? or totally china? lol confuse ady

Totally china. Same goes to sanrenmu and enlan. Sanrenmu is more edc friendly due to its size.
Olight i3s/i3e, nitecore tube, dqg, surefire titan+  brows.gif

ahh heard of sanrenmu but never play play before

actually im considering a ganzo before but then knowing our law regarding knife i refrain from buying any folder

besides i already have a knife in my *cough* gerber *cough* gdc money clip

currently im using this panasonic keychain light

its good enough but the battery is not replaceable

[attachmentid=6041047]

looking for something small with atleast 10 lumens
totally considering nitecore tube

it's available on lazada i think

i dont know where to get the others that you mention

but im really interested with the dqg fairy
*
hmm why u so sked how possible u kena question by law enforcer? ur work environment sensitive issit? if its everyday go out makan hawker stall type dun think would pose any prob le..

u dun simply show ur knife in public oso.. nobody will notice u carrying one right

u only will be in prob if u kill bad guy using it..

but otherwise, u gonna need a reliable knife to do everyday task like cut fruit or open packages hehe

rate as in? sharpness is cb sharp cos I've accidentally cut myself before without noticing tongue.gif
only thing is some of the models also damn stiff, hard to open one hand using thumb studs... so its one of those u gotta try before buying unlike the better brands.
*
not sure what do u mean better brands..

ive tried new zero tolerance with frame lock veeery hard to open n close.. but other ppl find it okay n said it will get better after breaking in

my cheap kershaw easy to open n close right out of the box laugh.gif

im commuting mainly on motorbike so if there's a roadblock well you know how police treats us bikers

besides there's this one guy said that he got stopped randomly by a cop at kl sentral searched his bag and confiscate his knife

other than nitecore tube im also considering niteize inova

but then i came across this very very small light and interested as well

http://multitools.com.my/true-utility-mult...5-nanolite.html

im using the flashlight mainly to search for seats in the cinema and looking for keyholes when im back home at night things like that so i dont really need high lumens as long as it's small enough to be carry on my keychain with no cumbersome
*
ohh understood.. if i work that kind of place oso i will chicken hehe

but my other trick when i go to less kampung place is to put it inside my first aid kit biggrin.gif

or u could get those tactical pouch like maxpedition GROT got carry a few
(in fact im considering one if its not that expensive)

looks harmless right?

i took the advice fr some of u here oso, knife is a tool. alongside with waterproof notebook, pen, glue, tapes, fork n knife..
dun think polis would still think of u as a bad guy i think

this one is liner lock also hard to open...for me best is like the byrd / spyderco ones with the cutout in blade.
*
i think u mean the thumb stud for opening as lock is for closing

yes yes i like spyderco thumb slot the most summore u can hack it to make opening much easier biggrin.gif

uhh i only mention liner lock cos u mention frame lock.
i obviously know what thumb stud is as i said already earlier...

i dunno if that breaking in period  applies or not... more often than not its just the 2 frames spreading apart abit then just need to tighten again.
*
no i just mean opening n closing mechanism not really dependent on each other..

cos opening be like only depends on the screw or whatever spring it attached to only right? biggrin.gif
