QUOTE(budak k @ Feb 2 2016, 01:46 AM) Guys, step 10-11 is actually pretty simple it's just that the language used in that guide is hard to understand. Lemme try to make it simple for you. Just switch off your phone. No matter what step ur at, just switch off your phone. Easier this way. But before switching off, don't ever forget to enable USB debugging. This is important. Forget this and you'll brick your phone. Then when you get to step 11, make sure your cable is already connected to the pc but do not connect your phone to the cable yet. Hit download button 1st, then just calmly but quickly pick up your phone, pressed & hold volume down only (no need to press power button cz your phone is already off). Then connect your phone to the cable quickly. Now look at the progress bar, once it turns yellow u can let go of the volume button (though I never let go of it until the process is finished, just to make sure lol). Ur done when you see the big green tick. Your phone will then take sometime to load so don't panic if it's taking a bit too long in doing so. How I read a few post up when phone is connected to cable after hitting download, nothing happens. Well this happened to me a few times. It's because the MTK Vcom driver is not installed correctly. Install it again, then repeat flashing until ur successful. If still no progress, try installing the driver from here https://felixsenada.wordpress.com/2015/12/2...n-redmi-note-3/ It should work. Good luck. i reinstalled the MTK Driver several times still having same issues...Win7 64bit here howwwww This post has been edited by lyc1982: Feb 6 2016, 12:03 PM |

QUOTE(~HL~ @ Feb 6 2016, 12:46 PM) Guys when is the best time to install new rom for my phone? Just flash it. Incase any malware or virus or what shit may be in your phone. I am very particular cos my phone store credit card, bank password, PayPal, wechat wallet etc, so many p&c stuff. Better do it than feel sorry if anything happenMy phone now running on vendor ROM, should I just keep on using it? So far so good the vendor ROM and I don't see any bloatwares |

Guys, I have the redmi note 3 vendor version with miui 7.1.1.1 stable, i'm sure it's not the official one, how to get the stock rom ? if i flash it there's a chance i can brick it since i'm not well versed with tutorial and how to do it however there's another way to update... which is it on xiaomi's miui site that says to simply download the rom and put in ‘downloaded_rom’ in the internal storage of your device. and then update from device.....
any one can confirm if doing this will brick the device or flashing it from zero is the only way to go |
