Currently using redmi plus 5. CIMB app would no longer work with Android 8. My online transaction is limited to RM 100 max without the app.

I'm currently looking at redmi 11 as it use Snapdragon. The other two non 5g variant uses MediaTek.

When I shop for phone before, MediaTek devices are slow to get updates or don't get updates at all. Is this still true nowadays? I might prefer the note variant if MediaTek device get updates.

Since this is a long term purchase, I wonder if I should get a 5G device. I'm looking at maybe 4 or 5 years before next purchase and I don't believe 4G will be gone before that.

Should I wait until Redmi 12 is released in Malaysia? I don't know about when it would be released.

Is there anything better than xiaomi redmi 10c in cheapo budged category (RM500 or lower)?

It has 4G ram, 60G storage, 5000mah battery and 50mpix camera. Which is just fine for my phone usage.

hi looking decent phone to replace my realme 6 pro...
1. Any Android
2. Budget : 1000-2000

3. Specs.
-camera quality doesnt matter
-Fast charging - 30W++
-battery : 4300 and above
-8gb Ram + 128 ROM/64gb Rom also can
decent processor at least on par with my realme 6 pro (snapdragon 720G)
-least bloatware
-smooth for soc med use, browsing, not much into mobile gaming

4. Type/Size.
6 inch and above

p/s : my realme 6 pro fall from bike into busy kl road..maybe got hit by 100's of car and lorry for about 20 minutes before i can retrieve it...surprisingly still working after replacing the screen and back cover...

but sadly camera cant be repair even after replacing the camera module , might be some damage on mainboard...

will happily still using the realme if camera can be repair at least for scanning qrcode for whatsapp web, etc

Looking to replace my phone (Redmi Note 5 Pro, reaching 5th year usage). Already flashed custom ROM to extend its usability but recently starting to fail (restarts on its own, charging doesn’t work properly).

Looking for a replacement (at least to last another 3 years).

Price/Budget: RM1100-1200

Screen Size: Like current phone or bigger

What will it be used for: as daily driver, watching Netflix, reading manga/manhwa. Gaming is rare.

Preferred brands: No specific brands

Looking for:

* Minimum 128GB space
* 4GB or higher RAM
* MicroSD card slot
* Similar or larger battery size with current phone
* Android 11 or higher
* With headphone jack
* Decent Camera [similar or better to current phone]
* NFC capability
* Prefer something that I could eventually flash custom ROM [in future if need to extend usage]
* Can fast charge [lower in importance compared to the rest]

Thanks.

I recommend Nokia T20 tablet which is retail priced at RM999. The tablet has 4GB RAM, has a near to pure Android experience, able to plug in SIM, and has a 10.4 inch display, which fits your requirements for tablet. Hope this helps.
