Mi4 internal storage is only 16gb and doesn't have an sd card slot. I don't think it's enough for most people.
I suggest getting those from the Redmi series. Redmi 3 series onwards generally have good battery life and can get 3GB RAM within your budget.

M31 have slightly better advantage over A31

Exynos 9611 (10nm) vs Mediatek MT6768 Helio P65 (12nm)
UFS 2.1 vs eMMC 5.1
32MP vs 20MP
6000mAh vs 5000mAh
Xiaomi is your only preferred brand?

Realme 6 Pro is better what.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE vs Realme 6 Pro vs Realme 6 (non-Pro)

Is hard to find screen size below 6 now a days given the screen technology right now.

Mi 8 Launched in 2018. We are in 2020 right now.

hi looking decent phone to replace my realme 6 pro...
1. Any Android
2. Budget : 1000-2000

3. Specs.
-camera quality doesnt matter
-Fast charging - 30W++
-battery : 4300 and above
-8gb Ram + 128 ROM/64gb Rom also can
decent processor at least on par with my realme 6 pro (snapdragon 720G)
-least bloatware
-smooth for soc med use, browsing, not much into mobile gaming

4. Type/Size.
6 inch and above

p/s : my realme 6 pro fall from bike into busy kl road..maybe got hit by 100's of car and lorry for about 20 minutes before i can retrieve it...surprisingly still working after replacing the screen and back cover...

but sadly camera cant be repair even after replacing the camera module , might be some damage on mainboard...

will happily still using the realme if camera can be repair at least for scanning qrcode for whatsapp web, etc
