Hi, buying a replacement phone for my dads Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. It has served him a good 4 years and started to slow down considerably and thought it's time to get him a new one.
He uses two sims for his work and home usages.

Thanks you in advance for your recommendation thumbup.gif

1. Brand - Any
2. Budget - 500 - 700(max)
3. Specs. - Preferably Qualcomm
4. Type/Size. - Standard now is what? - 6" to 6.5" ?

Hi guys, need some recommendation.
Planning to get a replacement phone for my mom. No particular request from my mom as u know la old ppl cant really tell the difference
between an OLED or IPS also. Just need a good speaker as in loud and crisp, would be nice to have both speaker on top and bottom layout.
And most important (this is for me so that i don't have to spent too much time configuring the phone)
- UI that don't have too much bloatware or ads.
Please suggest a few brands models as i can do some research as well. THXU

2. Budget: Around 4k? or below. The lower the better. Phone price nowadays so crazy
3. Specs: Good Camera. Good battery life. Support fast charge is preferred.
4. Type/Size: Any

Phone for my wife. Her requirements is take good photos. Doesnt play games, just social media. Able to take a good beating if possible (my little boy is a monster!)
Budget rm4k-ish cos most flagship phones around that price. Is there a mid-range phone that can take photos as good as flagship?

Hope to get at least 2 recommendations from sifus here. Thanks!

1. Brand: Vivo
2. Budget: RM2,000
3. Specs: Better than Vivo S1

It's for my dad. He's not fussy about specs (or phone in general), but he's already familiar to Vivo OS so that's why if possibe I wish to buy him the same brand.

too broad le your requirement. there's so many which takes good photo.

Vivo X80 series, Oppo Find X5 pro (2 flagship camera sensor) - Reno 8 pro (only one flagship camera). These devices has their own imaging processor, even in pitch black situations you will be able to capture something out of it.

Other than that it's really Samsung vs Apple. Xiaomi on the other hand they always have an edge in terms of hardware but when comes to their camera software they tend to lack behind for the jpegs they produce.

vivo x60 pro is below RM2k now. x70 pro pretty sure can get lower than 2k.. during 8.8/9.9. They always have massive discount during those days.

not a bad one. pretty much using 2 flagship camera's, lacking of wireless charger that's all. Using one of the best chip in the market.

u ada gimbal bo? Vivo v23 is one weird phone where they put in the best camera sensor at the front instead of back. Maybe that's something you can look at.

1. Brand. Any. I'm not a brand worshipper.

2. Budget. RM 1500-2000 +/- (cannot go beyond 2300)

3. Specs.

Best Camera. Camera must perform like a T20 phone with an M40 price (hahaha)
Let people say "Waah kamera manyak cantik macam iPhone tapi harga manyak murah"

Usage : Social media, office usage. I don't play games but I install a lot of apps. Must be fast also. If not like Ferrari, fast like MyVi!

4. Type/Size. Any.

Please recommend me a place where I can buy phone with installment 0% interest without using credit card. 3-4 months installment is good already.

5G phone is a waste of money for now. Basicly 5G phone is under beta testing with real user
no nationwide coverage
no big telcos support
No 5G n28 SA 700mhz for the coverage
HOT 5G phone issue

This phone is not great for the price. Overall just average. My experience:
1) The battery just lasts one day. For a 5000mAh battery, this is quite inadequate. My previous Vivo Y17 easily gave me 2 days.
2) The camera is very bad in performance. Colors are not natural. There is a lag in the camera too. Takes time to focus. Sometimes doesn't focus at all, especially when taken from the Whatsapp camera. Have to click using the phone camera mode and then upload it to Whatsapp.
3) The proximity sensor is not strong. On calls, the phone screen is usually on.
4) Phone hung the second day. Had to do a reset and now its okay.
5) Not too fast for the price and specs.
This phone can be easily skipped and avoided for a better phone.
or poco m4 pro better? Or any suggestions?
