Since I myself asked about suggestion within this price range, and if you are into Samsung, you could use my options. In short:

J7 - Pure performance (CPU+GPU+RAM), larger screen, more battery power
A3 - Better casing, scratch-resistant glass and back. Urm thats all.

Camera quality is the same I guess, at least based on the basic specs.

Huawei P9 Lite
Samsung Galaxy J7 2016

P9 Lite wins in performance
J7 2016 wins in endurance

Hi Bro. haha. I made my move. Gotten a P9 Lite. Performace wise my old Note 3 still can kick ass. But it's battery and the usb charging port is getting problematic. sad.gif. Hence the new phone.

And through the years using i already know I don't need high end phone

Any of those phone would find it hard to fight galaxy note 3. In terms n of performance.

So how is it compared in term of camera

Hi

Want to ask is it worth to buy Xperia X (3GB RAM/64GB storage)
Original price RM2499, now rebate RM300 plus my Treatpoint value of RM400, so final price RM1799 (will buy at Sony Centre as they accept Treatpoint)

any other options at similar price (rm1.8k and below)

requirement: good camera, good battery life, size not more than 6inch >32GB storage, good GPS

or should i spend my treatpoint in senq/senheng and buy other phone?

If you can get the Xperia X for RM 1799, it's acceptable. But it's still expensive for what it's offering (eg. Snapdragon 650 processor) especially when you can pay a bit more for a better one.

I would recommend you to get the OnePlus 3 for RM 1888.

Meizu M1 Note is well worth it especially with it's recent reduced price, but I would advise you to get the 32GB variant (RM 499), because it doesn't have micro SD card slot to expand the storage so if you go for 16GB you would be left with insufficient amount of storage. Just a reminder, please make sure that the phone is stated "Sold & Fulfilled by Meizu Malaysia" or "Lazada".

As for alternatives, I would also recommend the ZTE Blade V7 Lite which is selling for RM 499 in Lazada.

I would say the Lenovo K5 is better than the bunch because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, decent battery life and lots more to justify the price tag. P1m doesn't justify the price unless you really don't do anything intensive. S1 Lite should be okay.

Just to add a bit icing on top of the cake...

Vibe P1m is seriously underpowered, don't even think about playing games on it cuz it will lag annoyingly even for casual games like Crossy Road and Pokemon Go. It's basically a phone for very easy tasks.

So yeah, get the Vibe K5.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 would be the best among these 3, it's better in terms of performance, battery life and specs. Hence, it's the cheapest among them. It's definitely the bang for the buck.

1. Brand: Any Brand
2. Budget: 600
3. Specs: Any Specs
4. Type/Size: This phone will be for my dad. He just uses it for daily calls and occasional whatsapp. Hence preferably a phone with big screen, good battery life and without lag will do.
