Simple. Just check the calories and list if there are sugar present. Most will not have sugar especially those branded one like ON, Dymatize. If got also, when you work out. The sugar also burned. No need to worry much. The rice, roti canai you eat have more sugar than what's inside whey protein.

that I agree... lol I think all you need to do is cut down soft drinks or overly sweet teh tariks/ coffees. should be fine for a normal diet...

them gains... hahaha but only 19g to 20g per serving... I think its too little... Unless you take more scoops but then again the cost over per gram of protein is high....

Yes everyone has said about their low servings and normally people increase to 3 or 4 scoops like me. There is a discussion about them on Singapore forums. But yes, next time I am looking for something better like the NZ grass fed one.

I check for most of the big names and the sugar content was negligible like 1 or 2 gm per serving but my concern was the originality. I am more worried that the fakes pack lot of amino acids using spiking which might damage me in an unknown way as I am already diabetic.

lol...you are diabetic? like on medication?

If you are worried about grass vs non-grass, suggest you to look into pea protein.

Yes 3 months now....actually better is get a full body check every 6 months to know if you are pre-diabetic. If positive, then try and stop all sugar content.

Is just to decrease availability of glucose to cancer cells! You can look up the study ketogenic diet gives better results than low gi food for diabetes. But you have to say goodbye to rice, mee, bread, potatoes, meehoon.

Modified = I add more veges to it. Original ketogenic diet I feel is very bad. Imagine meats, lots of oil, no vege.

My version is at least 60-80% vege with enough meat + good fats. Virgin coconut oil l, extra virgin olive oil

Thanks for the info, let me read about this. As for rice and others I have stopped them except brown rice.

Where do you source the virgin coconut oil? I am looking for oil pulling.

Its around 150 to 200. Main is sugar and cholesterol that can hit us in 40's without any symptoms.
