Dear friends,

Last month I started looking for protein supplements and with diabetes I was looking for plain supplements without any sugar or fillers. After a lot of searching I came across Grass-Fed NZ Whey Protein. Some of the benefits I found on internet were:

"In our opinion feeding grain to cattle has got to be one of the dumbest ideas in the history of western civilization.
Cows are grazing animals and are endowed with the ability to digest grasses, which those of us who possess one stomach cannot digest. Today many dairy farms around the world feed cows grain or corn instead of grass; why? Because it’s more profitable.
Switching a cow from grass to grain is so disturbing to the animal’s digestive system that it can kill the animal if not done gradually and if the animal is not continually fed antibiotics. Cows were designed to forage and making them eat grain or corn is not natural"

Other Grass Fed Benefits
Apart from being healthier for the animal there are a number of positives to feeding cows grass over grain:
1. It is more natural which leads to healthier cattle and therefore healthier milk & protein
2. It contains more Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)
3. It contains more Omega-3 Fatty Acids

So basically I am looking for this in Malaysia. Can any one guide me where I can get it? Also I am weary of ON and BSN stuff in Malaysia, most of which is fake. You can go to alibaba and search for 'Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard' and see the bulk price. People are selling for 20-25 USD for 5 lb. Too good to be true.

Thanks I will check it soon. Some more information I found was:

Many countries around the world allow for the administration of rBGH. When rBGH gets injected into dairy cows, milk production increases by as much as 10-15%. The result is more milk but at the cost of being tortuous for the cows not to mention the potential human health risks.
These negative health concerns have led Australia and New Zealand to ban the use of Bovine Growth Hormones. However many less developed countries still permit its administration; as does USA. If we ever purchase protein from another part of the world we will explicitly note that it is rBGH free.

So we need to make sure where does the Whey come from?

Do you guys mean this: https://www.musclemaniaclub.net/company

Cos it also looks shady. RM 209 for a 100% Whey Gold Standard (5 Lbs). Malaysia has a 15% tax and 6% GST while importing supplements, plus shipping from US whereas Amazon retails for USD 58 at:

http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-St...Q4WKFV9YG77BJ57

Frankly I am not an expert in this but if I want to fake a product I will buy a original and then make a exact copy of it. So if someone send a email at-least the serial number is original. Later after a month another guy sends a email with same serial they will check in system to make sure it is original. So there is no system to check if same serial number email has come. I am not implying or saying anything but being in IT I know how far I will invest in what systems.

Currently due to unavailability of any sugar free stuff and being a little paranoid I went and purchased this:

http://www.lushprotein.com/my/category/pro.../prime-wpi.html

Taste doesn't matter, only thing that matters is gains.

Simple. Just check the calories and list if there are sugar present. Most will not have sugar especially those branded one like ON, Dymatize. If got also, when you work out. The sugar also burned. No need to worry much. The rice, roti canai you eat have more sugar than what's inside whey protein.

them gains... hahaha but only 19g to 20g per serving... I think its too little... Unless you take more scoops but then again the cost over per gram of protein is high....

sorry I was refering to the normal one... I think concentrate whey

I check for most of the big names and the sugar content was negligible like 1 or 2 gm per serving but my concern was the originality. I am more worried that the fakes pack lot of amino acids using spiking which might damage me in an unknown way as I am already diabetic.
