Unofficial
CO allocation: 45-60d
Visa grant: 60d

Official
CO allocation: 7wks (2 months)
Visa grant: 3 months

yes already assigned, though they havent give me the name of the CO.
I sign through Austral. Will I get the name of the CO or Austral will usually talk with them?

So, I got DIBP granted visa today for whole family. Ayam not to say very happy. But mostly sad feelings.

I think mostly because I couldn't give up my parents. Seeing them happily carrying their grandchild everyday, suddenly after 1.5 years later we say want migrate. Parents may not want to go with us.

How you guys did it? Any advice you can give me?

They can visit as visitors, but no they are not part of your migration visa....

You can try sponsor them over in future....but the wait list is very long....and they may not want to move permanently....
*
i dont think they ever want to go. is heavy for me to leave them here.
How u guys cope the feeling?

Dude, ask yourself why you want to migrate. I migrate because of my children. I am sure my parent know why I made such decision and they won't migrate with me as they won't get use of the living style in aus. But they could visit me as frequent as they could as visitor.

melbourne property prices are crazy....may not be the right time to buy now...

you are free to work anywhere, even if you are sponsored by a particular state/territory under 190...while there are more jobs in the major cities, the cost of living, particularly housing, is also more, and may actually mean a lower quality of life due to less disposable income...
*
going to buy somewhere at the west, Weribee or futher. Kampung.
I am planning to do export business from Aussie to Asia. Most probably setting up my own export company.

oz will love you....they always want people who can create businesses and employment...

weribee is considered mid to outer suburb in melbourne....cheaper but not a place to live if you work in the cbd....
*
Good point, i dont like CBD . maybe just for leisure i would go.
things are getting too expensive in CBD.

Hi there,

I engaged GMS - Global Migration System, service is good so far!
*
i cancelled GMS and applied Austral, got my PR within 10 months.
GMS eat up my first fees, never bother to email or reply.

I am planning to complain to MARA.

I got mine really fast with GMS, I think 9 months? Not including me asking them to take their time and I put off the first half quite a bit.

Did you speak to Desmond/ Audrey?
*
No i don't have a chance, as one of the consultant said my skill occupation is out of what aussie wanted. So i felt that they don't want to entertain me. But still they urged me to proceed with first payment.

Austral seen my case, use a little changes and it works. now visa granted.

Sorry to hear that but good thing that you have gotten your PR.
I also engaged GMS and although they paint a pretty picture during the first consultation but have to follow up with them constantly.
I always report back to Audrey/Desmond if they agent is giving me a hard time cause they have high turnover rate. Only Audrey and Desmond have been there for quite some time.
Anyway, which state are you heading to? All the best with the move.
*
My state sponsor is SA. but people tell me that I don't need to live there for 2 years for the RRV. So i am thinking to stay in Perth/Melbourne

I may have bad luck with GMS. I heard good feedback from people too thats why i went there in the first place. Anway, just becareful when you start to get ignored replies from their staff.

Yup, it is a moral obligation but I actually don't mind SA cause cost of living is more affordable plus I have friends there too.
Anyway with all agency, you would have to follow up with the agent constantly. I think GMS have too may clients now so they tend to forget about those clients which application are dormant. I constantly call and email them to check on my status and it took me slightly more than 3 years to get my PR from the day I engaged GMS
*
what is Moral Obligation? do I have to contribute to SA?

An extraction of your obligation from border.gov.au pertaining to visa 190:

"If you are granted this visa, your nominating state or territory might require you to:

live in the nominating state or territory for a specified minimum time
tell them your address, both before and after you arrive in Australia
complete surveys and providing other information they ask for
meet any of their other requirements."

Not sure if you need to contribute to SA but usually the obligation is to stay in the sponsor state for 2 years and/or work there for a year. But since DIBP issues the visa and no restrictions mentioned in the grant letter so many ppl don't honor this.
Ethically you need to stay at the respective state which sponsored you for at least 2 years but i heard many ppl dont. But I am not sure what the reciprocation would be during RRV
*
I see, i think this is what my agent tried to explain to me too when i asked.

Anyway thanks.

Apart from that, when I receive the letter, there is a Visa condition column stated "Nil"
so i am guessing there isn't any obligation for me to do so. Anyhow, i think i will try to find myself an opportunity in SA if I can, so that I can do back the favor since they sponsored me. But most of my friends are in Melbourne sweat.gif Tempting to just stay in Melbourne instead.

190. My EOI was very quick, within 10 days of dropping it in, they sent the EOI, and about 55 days later, it was granted. VETASSESS was the longest and most annoying.
*
