Very useful thread! It's really sad to see how many forex brokers are a simple scam in fact and general amount of such brokers is amazing in a bad way. But from my own experience I can say that it's possible to find a good one, the main thing in this case is remembering some simple but effective rules. The main ones among them are:
- always check firstly online reviews about the certain broker (FINRA ones are even more dependable), for example this topic is very helpful for making this research
- use reliable resources for finding new brokers like https://fx-list.com/ or https://www.forextraders.com/forex-brokers/
- check carefully possible complaints about absence of withdrawing the funds, you can also try to contact with their previous clients and ask about this too
- when you open an account you should read very carefully all the fine print of the documents because you need to understand various possible contingencies (like in case of withdrawing your funds)
- start from a mini account or a standard one but with a small amount of capital, check it for a month at least and if later your withdrawal is successful, then you can continue to work successfully with this certain broker

I suppose USGFX is considered a genuine broker? Has been operating since 2006...
