QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 1 2017, 09:32 AM) I'm no chartist... Got some PE 10 ones... you need to look deeper into the market. But from my novice eyes, it starts to drop back to a more "reasonable" price Trading at 13 times P/E now Palm Oil segment is overtaking Timber as major contributor, at 52% of revenue and 60% of PBT, the % is only going to rise going forward What's the P/E of other Palm Oil players? Mostly >20 times P/E BTW I look at chart looks like support at 3.6 |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 3 2017, 04:05 PM) TNB RM13++ a share I pick abc.. because the share price is 10x cheaper than tnb. So we should all go sailang on abc. Sure profit one! P/E 10 times Divvy yield 2%+ Mahal? ok... If I give u ABC Berhad, providing electricity supply to Bengali state RM1.30 a share P/E 10 times Divvy yield 2%+ Murah? Answer correctly or u gonna eat some bricks |

No difference between trader and investor. Both hope to buy at low price and sell later at high price. The only difference is the period of holding.
Long term investor or short term trader both need to consider the TA when entry and exit and also the FA for future price performance. Unless you are those short term gambling speculator who neither consider both TA and FA but chase price action only. So am i an investor or a trader? I consider myself a bit of both. I have held stocks for more than 10 years and as little as 1 day. Come let us enjoy the forum and discuss both FA and TA for both investor and trader alike This post has been edited by gark: Mar 4 2017, 10:27 PM |

QUOTE(river.sand @ Mar 5 2017, 10:28 AM) Let's say I study the FA of a stock, and found it to have great potential. Its current price, at 2.22, is also not expensive. That is wrong use of TA, if the price start going up, it will show you the time to buy in so you will not miss the boat. TA not only show the bottom price (support) but also the higher price (breakthrough) for you to get in.Then I do TA for this stock, and believe that the price could drop. So I wait... The price, indeed, dropped to 2.20. But TA shows it could go down further. So I wait again... Then, instead of going down further, the price doubles in 2 years. I miss the boat I have decided that I would rather be pound-wise, penny foolish I myself is just learning to combine FA and TA.. This post has been edited by gark: Mar 5 2017, 11:14 AM |

QUOTE(lynetnonyma @ Mar 5 2017, 02:00 PM) It looks like that. At the same time Boon3 has also said he does not quite follow the indicators etc which are part of TA. Lol.. why blame me?I don't quite see what has happened to cause all this recent hoo-hah... I think we'll just blame it on gark... I think Boon prefers more discussion on individual stocks rather than general investment talk. |
