Well your simple thinking is correct.
You do not want to see the stock getting whacked just cos the earnings dropped a lot due to correction of the USD.

But ..... tongue.gif

Such thinking is fine..... but it probably suits the investing kia....
so you trading kia or investing kia?
ps: like I did say earlier...
you cannot trade all season....
there are times one just needs to sit and goyang and goyang the two....... kaki la.
*
Haha well one of the main reason is it made a big move upward from the consolidation on 1st of June. But the following day it closed below with much higher volume. So was thinking after consolidate for so long to make such a move and end it within 2 days surely is not over? But now it moved back into the consolidation area... So... @@

How?

You like what you see with Homer's result?

Do you think market will find it acceptable/satisfied with a mere 6% growth?
( * remember during boom boom time Homer was hitting high double digit growth, sometimes triple digit too! * )

Are you satisfied with the announced dividend?
*
I can't find/calculate the 6% growth that you used....

Quick/Noob glance everything seems OK and nothing/major disappointmenti think...

Q-Q PBT decrease by around 20% is what i've noticed due to weakening USD...

Dividend is just a bonus i think... so no comment...

6% is the q-q comparison where you compare current quarter vs previous year same quarter.

This is how one does q comparison and not like q1 vs q2 type of  comparisons.

Disappointment is subjctive cos the market reaction sometimes differ than our own.
One with an investor mindest might argue that everything still ok.
But then what about the traders?
Can they accept such lower growth?

But with such drastic drop in growth rate.....
would it be enough to seduce new buyers to the stock?
*
Ah yeah the -20%+ is q2 and q3, mistaken.

Attached Image

Based on the attachment, there's no 6%? Instead it decrease by 8%...

Yea in the end is up to the big players to do their own judgement and see how it moves tomorrow. So my opinion dun matter at the end of the day. Perhaps can try to find out or guess if it moves out of my expectation

Q-Q not so good, but 9M-9M is still ok isn't it?

Well lets see tomorrow ba.

Adui i keep finding where is the 6% is it revenue or etc etc lol. Paiseh .

Well actually my main reason/opinion is the TA where it made a breakout from its consolidation on 1st of June with volume. So it did caught my attention. But it moved back down into the consolidation area with much higher volume. So i just look see look see on the fundamental to see anything wrong.

On the investor part, yea it can be dangerous if one think that "Oh the TA does not really look good, but the fundamental seems ok so no harm holding"...

Yea one could say that the growth is lower, but on the buying interest part, one could also say "well if the profit keeps growing eventually the share price would catch up"...Well on the fundamental side, see how you wan to see so is all subjective, hard to say one is right or wrong with iron clad rule... so that's why i'm quite weak in this part....

Well normally in a forum is for us to learn from each other perspective and not to convince who's right or wrong lo in my opinion. Don't worry too much bout the persuading part or right or wrong

P.S:So late you still awake or you already awake? Lol. Take good care of your health yo!

No stock in tekseng la. Was in my watchlist. But sharing this with the main concern about manufacturing sector in Penang. Seems like the retrenchment happened quite often already in other MNC as well

You should really read lynetnonyma's posting posted on the previous page.

If everyone makes remarks like this and not contribute anything to the discussion...
we might as well tutup forum thread and all play with our own marbles.

It's pretty more fun.

By not letting the chart using you is that dont buy a stock solely because of the chart TELL YOU TO BUY.

hmm.gif so for one who solely just use TA to trade, they will just trade what they see in the charts isnt it? Aka breakout, candlestick pattern, etc depending on what they use.

Is like a person use a GPS to reach a destination, so surely (or mostly) you will depend on what the gps tell u isnt it?

Well of course i din try to say it is 100% or what not. By using TA is just to increase the odds/probability of winning or even FA. One also need to tweak/update oneself but the theme of one's method i think should be pretty much basic. Same goes to the emotion of fear and greed in the market

So if one's method is pretty much polished (same goes to the GPS that is updated), you tend to follow what the charts/price/direction is telling you isnt it? Of course by following whatever GPS/Charts/etc, risk management should be taken aware of. But what i'm trying to say/discuss is chart use you or you use chart topic.... haha

Edit: p/s: while using the term technical analysis, i thought price action is also one of them. But it maybe not as well.

Haha the more we discuss the further we go =.="

If you dunno where to go why would you use GPS in the first place....

Those that able to identify themselves a better route than GPS is like using other "tools/analyze" than "TA".

Ok ok in short, i think if you don't know what you are looking for in a chart, then most probably you're gonna get used by the charts and vice versa....
