For me when pick stocks, FA first..MUST pass my criteria, then only look at TA for ENTRY and EXIT only...

New FA Criteria, for 2017 investing.. lets see the results.  bruce.gif

dividend growth strategy (replace old cigar butt, value investing strategy)

1. Stock must make more money next year
2. Stock must pay more dividend next year
3. Stock must have higher net margin next year
4. Stock must have PE < 20
5. Stock must have dividend >2%

TA - entry at support / breakout
TA - exit at breakdown / ceiling
2Q no improvement in results .. sell.

No need so complicated....lots of rules etc, keep it simple only.  tongue.gif

Last time value investing strategy suggest PE below 10 right?

Your criteria of 2Q no improvement, is comparing its previous quarter or same quarter preceding year?

Thanks in advance

Comparing these two hypothetical stocks:
A - PE 10, growth 10%
B - PE 15, growth 15%

Which do you think is a better investment? tongue.gif

I still need to learn a lot about FA leh. Last time if stick to only buy stocks PE <10, both won't buy lo lol.

There are few types of stocks that i remember in one of the free seminar that i've attended years ago. There are turnover stock, growth stock and the rest i've forgotten.

You need to do more indepth research lar... otherwise misleading.

GFM is a RTO from AsiaEP, so it is essentially a new company, past results is irrelevant.

NTA is 14 SEN.. not RM based on diluted shares
EPS is 0.59 sen based on diluted shares.

So at current price you are looking at PE 27X, PBV 4.71, even if they pay 40% dividend the expected DY will be  1.43% only

Sorry not my cup of tea,...  yawn.gif

P/S : I did all that research in less than 10 minutes.. so no excuse for not doing due diligence.  tongue.gif

Paiseh gark, wanna ask a quick question on how you calculate to get the NTA as 14 cents ya? The NTA i know is total equity/total number of shares correct?

Yes, go read the latest Q report, under equity/total shares.

Lol ok is there, i must be blind. The difference with other stocks' qtr rpt is that they bracket it with (cent) instead of RM.

Cash flow statement is the best section to see it. It will appear in the investing activity part.

Probably not. Cash may not be received immediately after disposal of properties.

Pink Spider please advise.

Gain or loss on disposal is usually "hidden" from Income Statement main view...parked within "other operating income"

Yes, can see it in Cash Flow Statement...and notes to Income Statement
