for a person who doesn't know much about snakes you sure talk alot jon yeap...if one of my friends were bitten by my copperhead racer i would pretty much tell them the truth because there is nothing serious about a copperhead bite

Is copperhead suitable for a new snake keeper?

NO. Not suitable because cooperhead tends to be aggressive. Also, if it ever escape, you will have hard time catching it back as copperhead can move very fast. You wouldn't want runnng all over your house catching it. I was told it was very cheap, not more than RM100.

some cheap things are beatiful indeed. hehe... its not necessary expensive to be good, some expensive things are just hard to get, but kinda ugly. kakaka..

2 good reasons
(1) it is a local snake.
(2) it is also a very common snake, nothing rare.

there are several species that make resonable captives. some of the water snake species example homolaphis buccatta and enhydris enhydris make decent captives.
