Hey guys biggrin.gif

I got a few questions about snakes species. Before you flame me, I did tried Googling for it but I can't find the exact one I want.

The question is, which species of pet snakes would not grow till very long (about 10-15 inches max) and are non-venomous?

It's because I'm living in a hostel with a no pet policy. But I wanna secretly rare a snake and when I'm off for my classes, I can just put the fella in a tank.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Most small snakes got venom but mild venom that can't kill a human lah. But if say you have allergic reaction to the venom then that's a different case.

Still, the best beginner snakes are cornsnakes and ball pythons. I got both and I really love them to bits hahahh... of course their size can reach 4ft to 6ft depending on their sex and how much food I pump them with.

Hmm..how can you tell if you're allergic to their venom? tongue.gif Because I got no idea if I'm allergic or not..

If I remember correctly, ball pythons don't have venom right?

I think you will only know if kena bitten hahahah.... I'm no pro in snake, I'm still very much a newbie and learner. So far I only research on ball pythons and cornsnakes since I only like these 2 species.

pythons mainly got no venom. Means no fangs... but they got lots of tiny teeth, like a shark hahaah... but ball pythons are really ok to handle. Mine is now on my neck while typing.... still a baby and its really tame. Of course later when 4ft I can't just let it be on my neck like this lah, later dunno what would happen hahaha...

The prob is, The only living space I can let my snake move about is my room sad.gif

So once it reaches 4 feet the room will be too small for him and kinda hard to conceal the bugger too tongue.gif

HAhaha... I only got 2 snakes but I got more of other things in my room that are hidden.... hehehehe... Snakes are easy to hide, especially ball pythons and cornsnakes.

I'm actually very interested in King snake too, because I saw photos of your black and white one and it is really such a lovely colour! The sudden contrast of colours from the white stripes, jealous!

So my choices now are:
Corn snake/King snake/Ball Python

biggrin.gif thanks guys!

Well, Ball pythons grow larger in width than Kings as king and corns stay slim but grow longer. All 3 are very easy to hide as they do not need a lot of space. I have a ball and king that I've been keeping for about almost a year that my family doesn't know of. tongue.gif
