QUOTE(wankel @ Feb 2 2016, 10:25 AM) I'd be inclined to look for a connector somewhere near the evaporator, sorry but I don't know where it is on our FLX but there should be one that has a wire coming from the evaporator which would have a thermistor on the end of it that would lie in close quarters with the evaporator, this provides feedback to tell the A/C to rest up a while because the evaporator has frozen up, a problem as you folk are likely quite aware how bad a home refrigerator works when the ice builds up in the freezer, although I suppose most of you here are too young to recall how 50 y/o used to do that all too often. Anyway my hint is to look for the wires and do checks upon them. Themo sensor switch kaput.. may be located at the cooling coil Sorry I m also very new to saga flx.

QUOTE(Invader Zim @ Feb 4 2016, 11:08 PM) So guys, My aircon problem is solved already. Members here guessed correct that thermostat sensor switch is the cuplrit that caused the tube connecting to cooling coil become frozen. Of course, the mechanic conned me first by changing the cooling coil which cost me around rm530. The switch cost about rm35 only.. :sigh: But now i got new problem, after i drive slowly there a nyek nyek like metal grinding sound from the back. To me the sound probably originated from the bonnet. After i did a google-fu, most thread suggested it is probably the rear torsion axle problem.. damn it proton.. I would have guess there's monkey at the brake part... as they not getting enough bananas

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Mar 18 2016, 11:34 AM) yes battery too low to start your engine. jump start will just fine. after jump start, remember to drive without aircond approx. 15 minutes or 10-20km without aircond to fully charge your battery first. if your battery after that still cannot start, the battery is a goner. if you are around klang valley, i can suggest you battery assist --> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3391516 . call/whattsapp and deal yourself. Change new battery as it might happened again. You can buy reasonably price if u buy from battery or spare part shop. If from road assistance. ... have to pay mahal lah sikit

Ecu goreng if u don't know how to jump start.
I did jump start my Exora Turbo (CVT Gearbox) last month as the mpv stranded in front of my son school. Nothing much could do as part shop is far away. Hence I get my Saga flx to jump start the Exora.
It works and both no harm.
Basically u need to connect the battery positif terminal to positif terminal. Then the negative terminal from the donor car to any of the receiver car chasis... not the negative terminal of the battery.
Then can start your car.

QUOTE(WanTaro @ Mar 19 2016, 01:08 PM) meaning just ground the negative? Cables from negative terminal (jumper car) ground it to the receiver car chasis. Like in my exora I install Ultra racing strut bar. Get the negative cables.. ground it at ultra racing car.. http://www.halfords.com/advice/motoring/ho...car-guide-videoThis post has been edited by FLXM: Mar 19 2016, 07:55 PM

Been using my company perdana (my beloved saga go holiday) Suddenly notice some crack n leaking as per pictures. Is it safe for me to continue my journey tommorow or better send repair first? [attachmentid=6205173] [attachmentid=6205176] Thanx Wow. This problem if u don't repair.. the engine will blow up like atomic bomb of hiroshima in 20 second after you start the engine. So to be safe better you tell your boss to trade in this Perdana with Mercedes Benz S Class. Hahhahaaa

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Mar 21 2016, 08:37 AM) there has been report that jump started a cannot start flx will resulted in tcu koyaked. 50/50 chance. better change battery than change tcu. we in here are just to alert. specifically for flx cvt only. if its worked for u, it doesnt mean it worked for everyone. Wow... so proton do make many version of Saga FL, Exora Bold CVT.. some can jump start. Some kenot jump start... In that case.. proton should throw away workshop manual.... as the manual does not apply to any of their production cars... so many caca marba

QUOTE(AMenzZ @ Mar 21 2016, 10:11 PM) I tried b4 my flx jump start by an exora cps, I did tried before jump starting P2kenari, Honda jazz, city and Hyundai accent Exactly my point. If you know the right methods then should be no issues. The fried ecu not only happened in saga FLX. Other car brand also got cases after jump start... having issue with TCU... because of not the right techniques.

QUOTE(jesseclane @ Mar 22 2016, 12:41 PM) My flx battery kaput yesterday.. last change 10 month ago, using Century battery. So as a newbie, need ask few question. Btw I'm using dry battery 1) Do my habit listening to radio/mp3 without engine turned on will effect battery life? 2) Which battery brand give good battery life? Got offer here RM233 (+gst and old battery trade-in) for GP/Bosch battery 3) Any recommendation for car workshop around Kota Warisan / Salak tinggi? Plan to go either today or tomorrow. Thanks Still got receipt from purchasing the battery? From what I know... battery warranty 12 months ... If kaput less than. 12 month can get replacement.

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Mar 22 2016, 08:21 AM) are you sure is it not about the right technique? konlamfirm? have any proof? quote from my sifu :"whether is it really caused by jumps start still unknown, but who would take the chance?" remember : battery rm190, tcu rm3000.00 not cincai rm30.00. btw, nobody right or wrong. we all share the info, share and learn. you want to follow or not, up to oneself. i change oil filter at 8k km mileage, but it doesn't mean i should advise you and we all should change at 8k mileage juga. Up to you bro... siapa mau ikut... follow.. don't want. ikut suka. Nobody forcing anybody .... ... Try reading in Google.. world wide discussion on this subject on fried TCU/ electronicS. I don't mind as this is not my first experience with cars... bought my first car w124 in early 90's... had more than 20yrs experience in cars and repairs.
