Sorry bro. Didn't take any pics during speaker installation.  But nothing much technical ...

The easier way to run the wires is to pull the rubber weather hose/ conduit/ casing from the body side.  Then just pull out from the door side. I Try to look for any flexible wires that is strong enough to act as a probe to poke through it.. and lastly use my old mt bicycle brake cable... with this i need creative Mind to  insert the wires in it. Hahahaha

The rest is  very easy.

since i google on the subject cud not find anything relating to the installation.. i just share on how..

Factory stock cd player removal

how to take out rear speaker?

pull the lower strap of the seat bench. 2 of ot and slowly pull out the seat. you  ll be able to see the exposed chasis. remove the 3 bolts size 14 ( red markings in the pics)

then undo the isofix seat bealt mount (for kiddy seat) both side at the rear panel.

then from inside the boot, undo the nuts that holds the 3rd brake light

unscrew the bolt that hold the plastic cover for the centre seat belt and also for easy access and removal of the upper rear seats, undo the bolts of the seat belt.

lift up the upper seat to take out from the hook.

the rear back shelf is secured via plastik clip. pry up the whole cover (The black round speaker fitted to the grey panel) to take out.

user posted image

take out rear the rear speaker via 3 bolts and undo the stock factory wire connector from inside the boot.

since the stock speaker on comes with 3 bolts point and the after market usually comes with 4 bolts. you may have to make a hole via drill from the boot. be very careful in placement of the hole as you might have issues in screwing it tight as rear glass is another obstacle unless you have angle screw driver.

if rajin.... can fit and fix a rubber mat to the speaker area.

if you want to use new speaker cables, you have to take out the side panels in the cabin to hide the cables. otherwise for stock wiring for the rear will  do the job. its just you need to work on the connectors.

i use back the ori mounting

user posted image

Since i use aftermarket wires, i re run the cabling for both side front and back...

And i want it to be a clean and need tidy job if incase i need to do something... i utilise 4 wire connectors bought from electronic shop. it will be plug and play type.

user posted image

The harness connector i cut from oem factory HU and reuse back for for wires only which is

A8. ground - black
A6. illumination - orange-white
A7. Power- ac ignition red
A4. bateri - yellow

Male Connectors - Gray

you can try 2 ways, 1 is slightly potrude the player out a little so can fit the cover. or another way, take paper put at top part of player, trace the curve part out. then with that paper can mark on the cover. den use dremel/grinder/sander to mould to the curve shape? a bit time consuming, but it might help to fit the cover nicely. theoretically speaking lah  thumbup.gif

Heyyy, my car just reach around 38,000 but already 36 months so when i go to a nearby service centre they quote me around 800++ for service because need to change CVT Fluid. Since it's quite expensive, my dad told me to go some other bengkel he usually goes to. Total for service is 284 (including changing the gear oil). Is this like correct ah?

U can say a goodbye to warranty. And the cvt oil is very expensive. There is very high possibility they did not use the correct oil. Can u go to the shop and ask which oil they use. Snap pic if possible.

CVT Transmission Service ESTIMATED price at Proton Edar Service Center

CVT Fluid [1Liter x 4bottles] = RM40x4 = RM160
CVT filter = RM 235.25
CVT labour charge = RM 60.00

Total: RM 455.25

actually 800++ is not cvt fluid change only. that price include engine oil, oil filter and few others.

if the outside workshop use cvt fluid, ok u selamat. if use ATF fluid of incompatible cvt fluid.. icon_question.gif bye.gif

unless he can provide the old fluid bottle and receipt, we can all continue assuming everything. we should just gib him moral support and hope for the best. i confident our friend here is well aware of the fluid change.

Now, the best thing to do is to go back to the shop and check what oil did they used. Snap a pic of the oil. Also if you still have the receipt, snap a pic of it and upload it here.

You are lucky if they did use the same exact fluid that Proton uses. If not, you've got the ball rolling for the damage of your CVT.

If they had use a different fluid, QUICKLY go to the nearest SC to change the fluid and filter altogether. IF possible, flushing is advisable. You should ask and discuss with Proton SC is they got flushing for CVT fluid for those like your case.

It might costs slightly extra, but it will save you a bomb to change your CVT gearbox.

And let's just hope the damage done to your CVT gearbox is minimal and won't cause any issues...

If dia change fluid saja, I just hope it's the right CVT fluid and not ATF or any other fluid.

AFAIK, it's kinda hard to get the original CVT fluid that Proton uses at 3rd party shops.

Those who want to service CVT oil outside should buy the CVT oil and filter from Proton and have outside shop to change it for you to save on the labour charge but this is not advisable as it's still much much better to let Proton SC handle the CVT.

But again, after changing CVT fluid, need to do CVT adaptation (but AFAIK if don't do also it won't cause any damage to the CVT, only less smooth), which I think only a few outside shop knows how to do it. The shop pulak may sound like they really know how to do but actually they don't. doh.gif
