QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jun 3 2016, 11:30 PM) Thanks! In any car, no matter MT, AT, CVT, DCT or whatever T, it is always recommended to put it in N when you are idling for more than 30 secs. Which brings me to the next Question. For Saga BLM, is it best when idle, to put it in N gear, to to leave it at D and press the brake? Not so much about conserving fuel, but I do find putting it to N relief me from having to press the brake. & i feel more safe (?!) as I know for certain the car won't move (in case I accidentally de-press the brake pedal. In some transmission, like the CVT in the FLX requires the transmission fluid to constantly circulate to lubricate and cool the system down. Putting it in N will activate a pump that automatically circulates the fluid without the engine's help. The pump will not work when you are idling in D. |

Shifting from N to D and D to N doesn't require the gear knob to be pressed.
