How I wish. cry.gif
I know. So, the company compensates by giving me 16% on top of my salary as allowance. smile.gif

Wooooo wawawaa that's the dream first job right there
Wish I had that, can cover most of your rent already!

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 16 2015, 02:06 PM)
Is it that good ah? sad.gif
The problem is after adding this 16% allowance thingy still about $350 lesser than what I expected. laugh.gif
*
Hard to say la, since I dont know how much is the real $ amount against other factors

But either way just insist you deserve XXX that you were asking for and justify more
Worst that can happen is they just repeat that their offer is final, then you can decide to take or not

But that 16% compensate for CPF is good, so far never heard of any companies here giving that

Lots of big MNCs do it for their perm staff, especially in banking / finance and I presume Oil & Gas.
*
Give the 16% for non-PR employees?
I see...need to try my luck with my company next cycle then!

To be blunt, your blame on the work pass system as the cause of your woes smells like an attempt to shirk personal responsibility. If you don't have the necessary skillset (education, experience, charisma, etc etc) to grow your career on EP now, it won't be any different if you are a PR or even SC in the future.
*
+1

Instead of expecting people to change the system to help you, focus on improving yourself instead

Can take package and look for a new job. tongue.gif
If I were to move to a new role, company, country, it must be a better off offer than what I'm having now. tongue.gif

Exactly, I believe his situation was his "6 figure income" was only because they were paying him an average SGD salary
So in other words, he couldn't get anywhere close to the same MYR converted pay at other MY companies for his position
Of course all those were left out when talking about the rolex and luxury car tongue.gif

Already V18, still not active? laugh.gif

I have a lot of things that I will need to think about.

Anyway, if I were to pursue and all, the office will be at Toa Payoh. Good place? hmm.gif
*
Good, lots of HDB around Toa Payoh so you can stay very near work too, or worse case a couple stop away only
Quite central

Even if you could, do you know how much RM i will cost you to stay in SG for 6 months without a job? sweat.gif
Plus after doing all the online applications its just waiting at home for them to call you, hardly worth you moving there for 6 months

As the others mentioned above, just apply from MY and travel down if you have a face to face interview

btw, next year is going to be a bad year, just read news that a survey done by Malaysian Employers Federation estimated that only 40% of the graduates in 2016 are expected to be hired in Malaysia, and i think a lot more will flock out, so be prepared for some stiff competition.

Meh, these kinda statistics don't affect the individual much
It's the same as looking at "average wage", all you need to do is make sure you're above average

Plus those 60% who can't even get hired in Malaysia will have a good chance in Singapore? Should be the other way round
