NO WAY bro tongue.gif tongue.gif There's NO battle.. a lot of tenants PULL OUT of Velocities n opening in Mytown.. u see of the minianchors in putramall, ALL of them supposed to be in velocity but a few cancel their plans n opening in mytown.. big fnb names also open in mytown.. my friend was thinking of opening a shop thr n notice very few tenants sign up..

Sunwai gt it wrong with NO fashion anchor concept n also try to bring in many HIGH END/lux brands here which i'm sure does not fit the market demand n more so the catchment brows.gif brows.gif

Tenants won't wana open in mytown n velocity at the same time.. Its either HERE or THERE! to the sunwai fansi who doubt me, I have the proposed tenants n the layouts fr both malls n know who signed up n who didn't tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

worry not, competition always good for us consumers icon_rolleyes.gif even for retailers, probably they will see rental rates flatten. im already very amazed by one recent mega mall's quoted rate. drool.gif

Hi boss, i know which megamall quoted u n tht mall keep delaying brows.gif brows.gif truth is most underperforming mall managers will continue getting strangled by the retailers who r suffering themselves.. n these same retailers expand into malls with low chance of making it n die again n the cycle continues cry.gif cry.gif

Glad that you have the tenant list
MyTown may be leading after "revealing" the tenants.
But Sunwai has experience in mall management. Not easy be beaten.
Too early to make a conclusion at this point as the two malls are not open yet.
Anyway, the customers are blessed by having choices to of malls to visit

Mytown will be just like the curve+IPC+IKEA damansara....but dun under estimate sunway velocity as well....anyhow, this area should be the commercial golden triangle for Cheras area...IOI city mall also getting better nowadays in terms of tenants choices and also weekend crowd is very promosing..

Yea man, every time I drop by ikea/IPC area is because of ikea only and will have my meal in IKEA as well. As for IPC the most is just wander around, don't quite see the crowd even during weekend.

Given the congested crowd in ikean dining area, it is definitely at the expense other f&b in the mall. Hope mytown will do better la.

yea im sure u heard also haha. to be honest my face hard to keep straight when i hear. and they desperate until say "still can nego", "all package can discuss" and follow up even more aggressive than mah sing external agents (and thats really aggressive brows.gif)

OK lets see how this turns out as they have underperformed in ALL malls other than pyramids.. Mytown never reveal the tenants, the tenants reveal themselves to us tongue.gif tongue.gif

Indeed many Fnb customers in ikeas usually lost to the overhyped meatballs

With the putramall lesson and recent tenant "shifting" to MyTown, in your opinion, do you think sw will continue staying this way to impact business or it will perform "failure analysis" for improvement?
