you may have to wait then, it wasn't working for me when I saw the news at lowyat.net but a day or two later I tried it again and it works fine.

Some questions on the installation. The 15m free one is the yellow cable or the black cable ? Bcs in my friend's condo, they pull a black cable from the termination point inside the house to somewhere around the middle of the house to a small box then got the roll of yellow cable connected to it.
How about for streaming ? Any throttling ?

used to be white years ago, nowadays its black shakehead.gif

you can run it as AP but it cannot replace your router

It doesn't have gigabit port

You can always extend it by adding a gigabit switch though

When pinging to South Korea (Seoul), what ping do you guys have? Mine at VIP10 has been hovering at 400ms+ for months. Previously it was at 200ms+.

Is it UniFi's issue, bandwidth settings or the server problem?
*
I'm getting around 400ms as well. Most likely to be routing issue or peering issue

Thanks for the response. Is there a way to mitigate this? Because if you try pinging to Gimhae, the results would return 100ms+.
*
yeah, I had some luck getting 100ms with some other korean sites. There's only two methods:

1. Wait for TM to improve its peering(nothing you can do about it)
2. Try a lot of VPN and hopefully one of it has good peering between you <-> vpn <-> that korean website (something that you can do but it may cost you a bit and it may take quite some tries to get one that works for your case)

1. Complaining to them won't help?
2. I do have two VPNs (free and paid) but I'll give them a try to see whether they would decrease.
*
1. may but mostly no, if yes we would have better speeds already laugh.gif
2. choose some servers that are near to MY, and see if the ping gets lower

Hi guys, upgraded to the new unifi 30 mbps package.

My laptop's able to detect the speed no problem, but my desktop with a USB network adapter can only get a miserable 5mb ( i tried with cables and it's back to 30 suprisingly + I'm using a TP link Archer T4U capable to up to AC1200 ) so it kinda baffles me why I am on such issues.

Any pointer to help with this?
*
on top of what blacktubi has said, wireless is wireless, wired is wired. and like what leo2010 has said, I believe that your usb network adapter's chipset is a poor one that's why you can't get much out of it.

Used VPN, did the trick! Ping lowered to pre-400ms.

Although this is a temporary measure for now since I rather not rely on VPN for gaming.  blush.gif

well, tm's routing is quite bad atm, so it is just a waiting game for now sweat.gif

Guys..for upgrading from vip5 to the new 30mbps.. Is there new equipment needed or just simply upgrade from system? Any good promo if upgrade?
*
There's no new equipment needed, many has just upgraded and pay the bill as usual. There's two options and I'll let you weigh which one to take:

Terminate and apply new:
1. Get new equipment (modem, router, hypptv, motorola landline phone with 1 year warranty)
2. A bit of hassle if you don't have people staying at home
3. Installation takes time
4. Can get some cashback if you subscribe from agents (amount varies)

Upgrade
1. possible free landline calls (need to ask from cs)
2. Convenient and hassle free

aik u said no but gave me the same equation, but in reverse  tongue.gif

ok,ok i understand the numbers beter now. so its confirmed that they are charging me non-promo price since my bills are showing 169+60 with extras coming from my first half-month

but if you check again my screencaps/their website they did mentioned jumbo pack is +30/MONTH.
plus, all the numbers you are mentioning to me is (149/169 for unifi30) is non existence on their website
this, to me is misleading and can lead to customer's confusions.

and also not to forget that i checked with their service agent TWICE  during application and during installation slot booking wether my acc falls under promo. both confirmed mine will be promo, yet when the bills come it tells a different story. and a complain to sc tells me 'harga dia mmg mcm tu encik' and fails to explain to me thoroughly.

I guess they would have some records about it, otherwise fruitie would have not been able to collect her hypptv stb box
