I bought mine from Taobao. I have a lot of China visitors coming from time to time or I go to Beijing quite frequent too.
can help import a phone or tablet?

I found kopiPeng selling one. I prefer to have someone handle the warranty.
If at any point it fails, it would be cheaper to buy a new one rather than sending it back for warranty(you need to pay the fee to china and back to malaysia)
anyway, if you're getting it from kopipeng, it shouldn't be DOA. So by the time it fails, there would be a new model to replace it and it is a good indicator to get that instead

Also because it occurred to me then that my vlan600 is bridged to port 10. My pppoe lives on port1. The RB2011 has 5 GB ports (ether1-5) and 5 100mbit ports (ether6-10) on separate switches. Maybe that has something to do with it.
maybe you can google and check if there's any issue for your model/firmware. probably a existing/new bug in mikrotik
I guess 5Mbps will really need to be eliminated. Slow for today's standard, imagine your data on phone is faster than that. YouTube can watch Full HD but second device will suffer.
agreed. still, 179(unifi advance 30) is a burden for certain individuals/families, so I hope that they will have a 5mbps plan to cover for the lower income market (I don't see that it will come for this year or next year, as they need to push 30,50 and 100mbps). Not to say that streamyx is not good, but given the diversity of our landmark, using copper isn't really a good choice anymore unless we restructure whole Malaysia
I believe the video below is a good watch regarding the pricing for internet @ Malaysia(still true even after so many years he gave that talk at tedxkl)
Newly join this thread. I have upgraded from VIP5 to Unifi30 but did not subscribe to the RM 20/month voice STD20. So got a big telephone bill as they charge 20sen/minute.
When I logged into the Unifi Portal, there is an extra row which says I can add "VOICE STD 20 [free]" " Click to ADD" " RM 0 /month" See attachment.
I added this and got a order number. It shows an activation date. After the activation date, I went back to the portal, it does not show that it is already "ADDED"
I feel short-changed by this upgrade.
Any member tried this?

there's a post many pages back, saying that it will just be rejected. So if you make a lot of calls just subscribe for the Voice STD 20(which costs RM20 instead of 0)
What happened to mine was pixelation & video jerking when my download reached 28-29mbps and simultaneously HyppTV is streaming HD channel at ~9mbps. (Total around 38mbps) At first I thought it was line problem or STB problem or maybe BTU problem. The TM guys came and couldn't figure it out but decided to change the STB and test. Actually by that time I began to suspect it might be my router so I just kept quiet and let them change. During testing still got a little bit but seemed better. So they say try first and see how and they left.
Anyway later I found out the problem was user error. I had some firewall rules in my router that I wrongly set and was causing the router to hit 90% cpu usage. Fixed the rules and it's ok now and got new STB. :-)
wcypierre Just in case you're still interested in my HyppTV prob. It was the Mikrotik router after all but my fault.
The problem with Maxis is probably heavy throttling on peak hours, but I think that is to be expected, when UniFi were still offering their VIP packages, Maxis' packages were cheaper than UniFI. Logically speaking, how can Maxis be cheaper when they are riding on TM's infrastructure (cost involved).
Maxis assigns private ip to their fiber customer by default, so that reduces the cost (ip at Asia countries are expensive, esp when ipv4 has now depleted). Maxis is selling a lower price because they have to, to gain a piece of the market despite earning less.
