Moderno + CEX just realized that they really bumped the price really high. my previous X-750W was only RM529, retailing at RM599 at shops. And now the newer model X-760W which is no doubt almost the same except for the extra 10W is now RM629, and it's sold by CEX himself. Imagine the price if it hit's the shelves at LYP. |

QUOTE(Eng_Tat @ Aug 16 2011, 01:05 PM) guys, wta give a choice of this two psu : Seasonic X660 and corsair AX650 which would you choose? price tag diff is ax more exp by rm50+additional 2yrs warranty. RM50 for additional 2 years warranty is very cheap, but whether you need it or not is another question..both are very good PSUs Added on August 16, 2011, 2:36 pm QUOTE(sparrowed @ Aug 16 2011, 12:25 AM) What the..... thats so expensive! So those previous Seasonic owners got no more warranty for their product anymore? Exactly This post has been edited by TechnoG: Aug 16 2011, 02:36 PM |

what GPU you're using? HD4350, then actually your current PSU is sufficient. Unless you're going to upgrade your PSU soon? If you don't need a 750W+ unit, then don't go for it. You know..I think Seasonic PSU price will drop sooner or later. p/s: You have loads of ah lian cases |

QUOTE(Eng_Tat @ Aug 17 2011, 12:15 AM) aiyar i thought still can fetch around 600 or so. didnt know core i5 2400 can beat i7 860. actually considering selling the proc to fund 2600k proc. but still havent really make my mind up fr the psu, not sure to take x660 or x760... then you try to sell it to existing LGA 1155 users that fried their CPU or actually they are some people who want to buy a i7 just for the sake of the name and bragging rights. if you're willing to spend to get X-760 then go ahead, if not a X-660 will do. |

Probably, just a random guess 'cause it is too expensive and supplier can't afford to hold stock too long. |

QUOTE(lingloong @ Aug 19 2011, 01:07 AM) Basically it's all down to consumer choice, I'm just voicing out my opinion. Comparing Seasonic X-Series & Corsair AX series side by side, some do not willing to fork out the extra RM20-RM40 for the extra warranty period, so they still choose Seasonic over Corsair lolwut, took over by some shitty distributor? now I realized that there is more and more novice distributor coming up and carrying big brands And from my experience, just one thing playing in my mind. Those 5-7 years warranty are based/provided by manufacturer. So distributor reliability need to take into account. Best example is when previous distributor stop/cut-off their distribution-ship for Seasonic, warranty issue arise. We don't know how long this company will stay or last, if they "lingkup" within the warranty period, then reseller/end-user will absorb the consequences. Previously my case, RMA two units of Seasonic X-650 seems take forever, until now haven't settle yet for 1 unit For current distributor for Seasonic, IMO they should continue the warranty period based on the 5 years warranty. To cut-off 2 years from the period is kinda hard to accept since they are the one which take over Msia market And from the info, current distributor is 1Care Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Their Website: www.1care-online.com Info Taken On Seasonic Official Website: http://www.seasonic.com/buy/buy_asia.htm Honestly this is the first time I notice this distributor Unlike Corsair carry in by Cudo Technologies (M) Sdn. Bhd which got track in our Msia PC hardware industry So the "distributor reliability" is being emphasize again you should know the current distributor of SS right? a disaster in the making. They don't even really know much about their products that they are carrying, and then making conclusion by not even testing out the products, just making claims based on paper specs they created a tsunami in the SS tered This post has been edited by TechnoG: Aug 19 2011, 03:27 PM |

QUOTE(sparrowed @ Aug 19 2011, 03:33 PM) consumer wants reasonable market price PSU instead of hike-up-because-of-high-demand. Initially i wanna get a Seasonic PSU back few months ago, the X-series cost only RM3xx-4xx, but sellers here keep delaying weeks after weeks, got fed up and get myself a new netbook instead. Now I shall wait and see for few months how this new SS distributor perform before I decided to revive my desktop back. err noooo. The SS I'm referring to is not Seasonic |

QUOTE(sparrowed @ Aug 19 2011, 03:50 PM) i see, same too, chopped down current Seasonic owner's warranty + hike up price = not good impression. they didn't chop warranty, 'cause it is always 1 year. They did jack up the price at the very beginning, but now it is back to normal.but I don't really like their lacksidal attitude in doing things. They don't even know clearly the brands they are selling. Some forumer complained about mic issues, then their staff call him bias since he is part of their rival compy. It is a well known fact that memang got mic issues..and then today they suddenly back down, looks like they finally tested it there are other good distros too, like Answers, Ban Leong, Cudo etc. |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Sep 3 2011, 05:27 PM) Well, it is probably also the best power supply available here in the 600W ~ 700W range. In the 700 ~ 850W range however, there's the Corsair AX power supply series which is well, identical to the X-750 and X-850 as the AX power supply series is actually derived from Seasonic, albeit with a different logo. However, if I remember correctly, Corsair is offering 7 years for the AX power supply series, which is 2 extra years over what Seasonic offers for the X-750 and X-850 Seasonic is now 3 years, not 5 years |

QUOTE(timothyy @ Sep 20 2011, 02:56 PM) Hello... Quite true After reading some of the comments here... I noticed that you guys will die for Seasonic X Series PSU. I am planning to build a rig as below. Intel i5 2500k ASRock P68 PRO3 GEN3 (Waiting for it to be available in M'sia). MSI N560GTX-TI Twin FrozeII Team Elite DDR3 PC3-10666 1333Mhz 4GB x 2 LG IPS236V LED Monitor OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD 1 TB Samsung HDD CPU Cooler (donno which one to buy yet) I am noob in OC but planning to do some basic OC from the Auto software or whatever. I am thinking of getting the Seasonic-X 560 80+. LYN selling around RM350. Was thinking, at this price, I get some other higher rating PSU but for you guys... which one you think is better? This or any others similar pricing PSU with higher W? Others like Corsair 700GS GAMING Series Corsair 650TXV2UK TX V2 Series FSP EPSILON 80 Plus 600 Watts Xigmatek NRP-MC702 (700W) 80Plus Bronze Modular XFX P1-650X-NLG9 650W Single Rail PSU Silverstone SST-ST56F - Low noise, 560W with EPS Silverstone SST-ST60F-P - Single rail 80Plus Bronze, Modular Vantec ION2Plus R.Power Modular 700W - VAN-700AS/VAN-700A Gigabyte ODIN PLUS 700W GE-G700A-C1 Gigabyte ODIN PRO 550w GE-M550A-D1 Gigabyte SuperB 720Watt - RM320 FSP Aurum 80 Plus Gold 600 Watts*12cm Fan And of course many more.... Actually for 500W units, don't really have to get Seasonic X series. Only if you're going above 750W then it is well worth every penny, but then money is a problem too. for 500W, FSP Hexa 500W RM159 - if you're on budget Gigabyte Odin GT 550W RM169 - if you're planning to get GTX 570 on budget Silverstone Strider Essential 500W - RM219 - if you've loads of cash to spend |
