I always think that a car with many or advanced safety features requires a driver with relevant knowledge in mind.. airbags are SUPPLEMENTARY restraint system ( SRS ) which only work best along with the seat belt.. when u still see majority of rear passengers in malaysia don't use seat belts, and they dunno the necessity to maintain a safe distance from the airbags, airbags may instead pose a risk of injuries to them.. not to say side and curtain airbags not important, but our people road safety awareness still have to be improved a lot in order to really appreciate the use of the airbags.. btw no offense..  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Well, thats true. Alot of Malaysian people have little knowledge about airbags. I see some people dont wear seat belts and assume the airbag will save them. If anything happens, the passenger will receive a punch from the airbag before flying out from the windscreen.
Some people even put the baby seats in the front passenger seat without deactivating the airbag. When questioning them, they replied no worries coz they are driving slowly and with cautious. What if other cars come and crash their car, the airbag will still ignite! Really speechless sometimes..

Luckily our city have the irritating sealt belt reminder. I use this excuse to tell my in laws to wear seat belts.

I don't care about the FC already, no way for me to get better FC during the weekdays.

I also like the seat belt sound, it's remind me about the safety. My previous car don't have it.

The handbrake sound also really help me a lots cos sometime I forgot to release.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

The only annoying things, I can't lock the car from outside when engine is running.
*
The handbrake sound should be louder. There were a few times i cannot hear it coz the volume of my radio is too loud, lol..

Dear all,
My wife n I r plan to get a new car these two months and was shortlisted Honda City and Suprima.
Both are at close price range after discount.
May I know the expected 'kacau' that City will have? And what is the best offer around for the year end promo?
Thanks
*
So far quite satisfied. Nothing major issues yet. Get E spec at least for the VSA safety feature.

Hi everyone. My gf's 4 mth old new honda city battery died off today. My cousin's new honda city also had same problem when her car was about 4 mth old. May i know if anyone had similar problem? Wonder how to claim warranty when car cant start at all.. sad.gif
*
Last time i saw someone's honda city couldnt start outside a restaurant. The battery died off too. In the end, someone helped to jump start the car.
But i also read somewhere in the forum that someone jump start his honda city and somehow burnt some chip. In the end, cannot claim warranty from Honda.

New owner here, V-spec. Mileage around 800km now.
I found out that FC is lower than my expectation.
1st tank (Petrol-97) only lasted about 400km
2nd tank (Petrol-95) should be around 350km only, definitely less than 400km

My driving 70% city. So it is around 10km/l only (The meter display showing 11.2 km/l now). Is this FC normal?
fyi front tyre 220, back tyre 210. I followed the manual.

One more thing i notice, during idle (waiting traffic light etc), the air cond (or maybe compressor) kick in sound is quite noticeable, got sudden "dik.." or "duk.." sound coming from bonnet. Am I the only one complaining this? haha
*
I am using ron 95. I can only get around 350km and the oil tank only left two box. I am also driving 70% in town area with many traffic lights and humps so i think it is normal.

im ok with the bulb there..i think its a nice touch

so my car baru tinted..so i cant wind down the windows..need to open the door to take ticket

suddenly the car goes beep beep* (NO KEY)..but still can drive

my first thought was, if the car got stolen then the thief is still able to drive it although theres no key.. hmm.gif
*
That is why its better to off our engine and take the car key along with us.
Now stealing car is very easy for keyless entry and push start. Unless you can find some way to lock your obd connector.

Anyone of u regret getting the city over rival mazda2/vios/preve?

Just curious
*
Yeah, regretted abit. The reason I bought the Honda city is becoz i wana provide my young baby a safer ride compared to my old proton saga. Booked the honda city in Jan 2015. My wife announce she was pregnant on Feb 2015. Should have gotten a 7 seater, lol..

Bro why 7 seater is better than sedan? do u mean can carry more baby stuff?
*
Last time i can bring my wife, parents and baby to Singapore. Now after installing another baby seat, the back can only fit 1 person. Not to mention it is quite cramp.
Anyways, still loving my honda city.

Bear2 says 65 woh !  But as usual he blur2 bear one.

195/55/15 will have overall smaller diameter which make the car look ugly running on dwarf size wheel.

One need more metal & less rubber to improve the handling offcoz at the expense of comfort.

Better just 1 size up 185/55/16 is ideal upgrade.
*
Planning to upgrade my tyre from 175/65r15 to Michellin XM2 195/60r15. Just slightly 2cm wider so i dont think the FC will affect much.
Upgrading to 185/55r16 tyres requires to change the rim. Not to mention this tyre size is not so common and has limited brands hence pricing is slightly expensive.

Michelin XM2 bad choice, Noisy & not good grips, only advantage is durable, as the compound on the hard side.

At best upgarde to 1 size bigger aka from 175 to 185.

195 more suitable for 1.6 car C segment.

1.5 B segment stick with 175 or 185.
*
Currently my father's camry is using this. I feel it is quite ok. Looking for a durable one coz not planning to keep changing tyres.
My E spec tyre is 175/65r15. The closest size for upgrade without changing the rims is 195/60r15 with an offset of +0.8%.
