Hi, has anyone here experienced the brake noise issue especially when the car brake in low speed?

Hi YCG, went for service apparently I was told it is like that due to the type of brake (ceramic), which focuses more on safety as it would not cause 'hot jagging' but would create noise because of the dust it creates near the brake lines/gaps.

I know, I know. Hard to believe this comes from mercs, I am as stunt and surprise as anyone could be. Tho I then start to google, seems like not a new issue. Esp when the disc brakes are flat (there are no holes on them).

Didn't drive my e250 for like a month because my wife has been using it. Then i noticed the car has a slight vibration from 100km/h and above. i've sent the car for allignment and balancing. Totally didn't work. What are the things that normally cause this kind of issue? Rim bengkok? accident? mounting?

I guess most probably is due to drive shaft or engine mounting. Was the vibration feeling like up and down or swayed left right?

How old is your E250?

it didn't sway or pull left/right. it just feels uneven, like a shaking on the steering. Normally any car will start to feel the shake as u get to higher speed but not this early speed, not for german conty cars at least. i bought it early last year edtion E. i thought mounting problem is only evident when idling in which this car is still idling like butter even when in D. Drive shaft? hmm sounds expensive. i really thought that its just the wheel maybe the rim got dent, but

Try inspecting the front tyres! rear wheel drives car the front two tyres always worn out first!
You got warranty! Make full use of it ! That's the beauty of having warranty for a car.
Why not? The extra 2g required how many man hours to R&D. Rm 5k is chicken feet! Smoother drive on the 9 against 7! Too bad, turbo lag still exist !

It's not the rm5k you should be asking. You should be asking about the waiting time. Between unknown time of owning your new c class or immediately driving a new c class

Any new gearbox is worth the price because surely the new techs will offer a more efficient transfer of power, hence the fuel efficiency. Performance wise, some maybe doesn't offer a significant improvement on sprint time but real world situation u will feel that the car accelerate marginally faster and lighter because u always got a gear for any speed and on any revs. Shifting speed surely feels faster and shift quality should feel sharper. Not to mention the coasting function and the ability to skip gear tech upon hard acceleration. 7G was well known for having a slow respond even in sport mode and weirdly-programmed gearbox.

As for buying the c-class right now, i think if u could wait, might just wait for the facelift next year because current one already since Jan 2014. Probably with new sets of engine as well. But if u can't wait, just grab the 9G right now.  :thumbsup:
