QUOTE(allenultra @ Feb 23 2017, 03:31 PM) In term of normal road use, OE brake pad should be always better than those after market. AFAIK, not many brands available in Malaysia for W205. The only brand I met with is Girling, which meets ECE R90 requirement. Else, you need to go for ori. Girling brake pad front with brake sensor and installation, around RM400 So Allen, where to change Girling at RM400 only? Once change - would warranty be gone? QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Mar 31 2017, 10:26 AM) The major one is at 60k! Around 4-5k! Your dash display will remind you of the next servicing date! Flushing of transmission oil+ normal service! That's was my previous w204, I assumed it's more or less the same as the current 205. One thing about this mercs, I gotta change air cond filter every two years! Air cond stink in the morning ! Finger cross that I won't need to do the same for the 213 and current 2o5. The 205 is cuming to 2 years! Most probably wil,do,the servicing outside franchise after the warranty end! My mileage won't touch 53k in 4 years! Me Fainted!!......zzzzzz 60k? Lol Thanks. 4-5k for major service is high but somewhat expected. Yes, I was told by SA that the dash display is fairly intelligent to let us know when to service. Thanks very much 19degree.

QUOTE(garrick86 @ Dec 5 2016, 02:57 PM) If your car is still under warranty it is best to service with the authorised service center else your warranty will void on those parts service from independent workshop. Service in Authorised SC like CnC,HSS, NZ will be around RM1.5k to RM2.5k depending on the parts you change like the fine particle filter, oil, engine air insert filter, aircon filter, brakes, alignment and more. Some you can opt to change in next service if you feel it is not compulsory. If you have voucher during car purchase, it will only be around RM 200-300 for oil change during major service of around 12k. If you have a C Class W205, please pm me to join our whatsapp group if you wish to know more. Hi Bro Garrick I wish to join the Whatsapp group and have sent details via Whatsapp to the admin number as provided. No news so far, any other number I can contact.

The brake noise happened whenever my car moving at very low speed and brake just before the car fully stop. Previously went back to service centre. Was told this is a common noise happened to merc.. Is that true? I was thinking to complain it again when sending my car for 1st servicing. Need advice here. [/quote] Yes same issue. I will bring back before 1st service tomorrow. Will update you.

QUOTE(ycg @ Apr 8 2017, 08:47 PM) Hi, has anyone here experienced the brake noise issue especially when the car brake in low speed? Hi YCG, went for service apparently I was told it is like that due to the type of brake (ceramic), which focuses more on safety as it would not cause 'hot jagging' but would create noise because of the dust it creates near the brake lines/gaps. I know, I know. Hard to believe this comes from mercs, I am as stunt and surprise as anyone could be. Tho I then start to google, seems like not a new issue. Esp when the disc brakes are flat (there are no holes on them). Sighhhhhh

QUOTE(s65amg @ Apr 15 2017, 10:41 AM) it didn't sway or pull left/right. it just feels uneven, like a shaking on the steering. Normally any car will start to feel the shake as u get to higher speed but not this early speed, not for german conty cars at least. i bought it early last year edtion E. i thought mounting problem is only evident when idling in which this car is still idling like butter even when in D. Drive shaft? hmm sounds expensive. i really thought that its just the wheel maybe the rim got dent, but Strangeeeee
