Is Inspiron 15-7559 using IPS panel?

Spec sheet in malaysia website listed "15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Display"

But the description for marketing purpose display "Get the best front-of-screen experience with a FHD anti-glare IPS wide angle display (1920x1080)"

Checked with Dell SC, it's IPS panel for the i5 FHD(same as shown in dell product gallery).
I still waiting them to feedback on the i7 Touch screen panel.
Saw the 4k touch in other forum, the screen came with a flat glass top, no step down edge at the screen and frame, look very sweet...... wub.gif

Disassemble the whole laptop? blink.gif

If bottom casing for upgrading and maintenance purpose, one screw only.
You can see it in the pictures, the screw hole is in the middle up between the two fans.

CPU : 5700HQ > 6700HQ > 6300HQ (refer benchmark)
GPU : 960M 4gb > 2gb (minor improvement)
Ram : Same
Screen : TBC
Cooling : PE60 = GE62 (good enough), 7559 from picture seen good
HDD : PE60 7200rpm vs 7559 5200rpm with 8gb cache drive

here you go XeactorZ, many troubleshoot info and some reviews from users.
So far users are >satisfied with the 7559.

Battery life is very decent too.
I would say Dell really made a home run this round with the price offered, what else to complaint?

Dell with 4K screen and Nvidia 960M 4GB under RM 5,000? Am I missing something? Wow, everyone is rushing into the "gaming laptop" scene, must be all the recent excitement surrounding the exploding e-sports scene.

Mind. Blown. Edit: The RM4,500 is probably the non-touch 1080p screen. Touch with 4K for RM4,500 sounds... insane. EDIT2: IT'S THE UHD 4K ONE! shocking.gif

QUOTE(tachlio @ Oct 23 2015, 05:57 PM)
Nice one! Why they dont use DDR4 on 7559???

The only point holding me.
*
AFAIK DDR3 is lower voltage and cheaper, and from what I see from the benchmarks DDR4 even when insanely overclocked rarely improves performance for Intel-Nvidia setups.

16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD along with at least Nvidia 960M 4GB are they key areas IMO.

It appears to be confirmed as on: http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-15-7559-...timonster=PD_OC

That is, if one were to purchase online it clearly shows the 4K display as included in the price and not optional.

Wow. I hope it's a decent screen. No reviews out yet.

It looks like Lenovo Y700 (I saw it in MidValley KL today) and Dell 7000 are arriving in Malaysia somewhat earlier than the rest of the world?

The Y700 has a nicer design but if the Dell 4K display is good, it's hard to beat that kind of value. You wouldn't be able to game at that resolution though with an Nvidia 960M. But it would be very convenient for graphic design, 3D rendering, etc.

That's the catch: for the latest games you would have to run the screen at 2K resolution for decent quality and framerates.

As impressive as it is I'm leaning back towards the Lenovo Y700. If I need 2K or 4K then that's probably best on a 24" to 27" screen. The current 15" MacBook Pro Retina is 4K but at 15 inches 4K doesn't quite make sense unless you really love the "retina style".

The Y700 also has a 128GB SSD right off the bat so just put Windows 10 on that and your most important apps, everything else put it on the 1TB HD: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideap...s/y700-15-inch/

I really have to say Praise God for e-sports, they have forced/ encouraged the major laptop manufacturers to bring gaming laptop prices down from the stratosphere.

It's a nice price but IMHO 4k is turning me off, due to battery draining faster. Wish Dell would come out with a version for FullHD + i7 processor though
