Is Inspiron 15-7559 using IPS panel?

Spec sheet in malaysia website listed "15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Display"

But the description for marketing purpose display "Get the best front-of-screen experience with a FHD anti-glare IPS wide angle display (1920x1080)"

Checked with Dell SC, it's IPS panel for the i5 FHD(same as shown in dell product gallery).
I still waiting them to feedback on the i7 Touch screen panel.
Saw the 4k touch in other forum, the screen came with a flat glass top, no step down edge at the screen and frame, look very sweet...... wub.gif

Not bad at the back casing with holes for air intake. Also,  drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif

Wonder if it is easy to disassemble it  blink.gif

Disassemble the whole laptop? blink.gif

If bottom casing for upgrading and maintenance purpose, one screw only.
You can see it in the pictures, the screw hole is in the middle up between the two fans.

here you go XeactorZ, many troubleshoot info and some reviews from users.
So far users are >satisfied with the 7559.

Battery life is very decent too.
I would say Dell really made a home run this round with the price offered, what else to complaint?

I tink for the time being i m more into i5 7559 8gb ram compare to msi pe60. From my search online, there is not much different between 5700hq n 6700hq. Besides, 7559 has 4gb gpu ram, and ive heard that dell cstomer service is cream of the cream.
*
That's my initial choice too.
Who knows, ended up with the i7 4k Touch. Purely due to the price and I can bare with its downsides. tongue.gif
Unless they have the i7 FHD Touch or non touch, will surely go for it. Imagine the price fall between the current i7 and i5 spec. drool.gif

True, I would say Dell service is very pro.
Polite, initiative and responsible, what else? Nothing to complaint so far....... thumbup.gif

For those really want go for UHD, please google >>> 4k UHD 48Hz issue

eg: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-P-Y-and...ok/td-p/1672439

Above example is lenovo, but MSI GS series also facing same.

I not sure dell had any solution for UHD panel, but IF you only can play game @ 49FPS Max even though your GPU is more than able to handle it  mad.gif
*
That's the catch here, as you had mentioned earlier.

Use 4k for general purpose/low setting game play.
FHD for high setting gameplay.
I'm ok with this because I use it for 80%work:20%game, maybe 9:1. cool2.gif

A user had posted the scaling of the 4k display work fine with window10 in youtube.
Not like the XPS issue.

Here you go.

FYI, Techhyper Mart seldom keep stock for laptop above this range.
I did called in to check for few laptops model, all enquiries also need to wait for delivery.

Other than that, I also checked with Dell about Techhyper Mart before.
Indeed they are Dell reseller which obtains the stocks from Dell distributors. However, you may need to check with them to see if it is purchased from the so called distributor and also under Malaysia Dell's warranty OR they provide their own warranty?

Just placed my order for this laptop, hoping to receive it soon. Managed to get a free Alienware headset with it as well, not sure how good that is though...

I picked BT wireless mouse instead of the headphone, seldom use headphone.
How's their service? 1 or 2 thumbs? biggrin.gif

ohh sorry didn't know about that
what kind of issue you facing ? how come they give a replacement unit instead repair for you rclxub.gif
if not mistaken you buy the UHD version right ? pay at 4.4k ??
*
Problem to the mom board.
Still faulty after replacing a new board then I requested to stop repairing and give me a 1 to 1.
They accepted it with no rejection, isn't cool..... thumbup.gif

The replacement unit works great, I am making this post with it. tongue.gif

I took the UHD ver. at RM4,499. The exact amt is actually slightly cheaper. Pls dunt ask me why, I have no idea tongue.gif

Built quality - Good. Rubbery palm rest is ok to me(personal preference). Feel lot more solid than my old plasticky Latitude.
Charging now from 42%, take 1 hour to full charge. 2hrs for 0-100%
Battery lasted for 3.5hrs 100% youtube streaming, @50% brightness, @balance power option(non power saving)
Screen brightness - good to me.
Screen quality - sweet..... wub.gif
Screen clarity - Everything is good except the Ads beside Lyn forum looks readable blurry, it might due to the 4k display. Wording in the post is blardy sharp.
Touch Screen - Responsive.
Scale - No problem, it's adjustable.
Keyboard - better than low/mid spec. laptop. Layout is good too.
Wifi - full bar all the time, no fluctuation at all.
Touchpad - Indeed it's loose, I will say it's meant to be that way, not a defect, it's acceptable. Sensitivity good to me.
Audio - Clean & very Powerful!

What else?

and just like the dell xpx 15, if get ssd version got larger battery capacity
wow after replace motherboard still issue exist hmm.gif
btw just curious what issue you facing ??

btw nice review, and do you get a ssd ? as for wifi those people in notebookreview said that is not that good when gaming since only 1 antenna rclxub.gif
*
Me either have no idea what's the problem, just cant turned it on since the first press.
This lemon is really sour sweat.gif
Anyhow, everything is cleared now.

Yea, saw some comment about the wifi, so far so good on mine, just haven't try it out for gaming yet.
and nope, I'm not going for the ssd, the hdd is just fine for me.

My humble advise is to get a unit for yourselves for those whom are keen on it, everyone might have different luck, don't be fear to try it out, Dell MY is worth the penny.

The screen is LG Philips, very nice.
Very responsive TS, lucky me.

Did the seller give you the Dell order number to track?
It's very accurate, they don't simply update the stages.

Congrats! after the long wait XeactorZ. biggrin.gif rclxms.gif
Pls test the audio setting at setting balanced/power saver option.
Some forumer and mine have sound popping/burst/electric static noise.
Abnormal noise may not occur at max. volume, it happen in between 50-100 volume; especially if you spam the volume adjuster button in youtube/speakers/system sounds volume with mouse.
Above mentioned turned better at performance power option, very minima defect still persist.

Please test with Adele - Hello in youtube.
Thank you.
