My goodness looking at the prices ! Even at Rm100-120, that would still be a non viable business.

ya man i think the owners still bleed heavily every mth... considering the one bedroom unit was selling at around 700k above after discount

Haha the earlier prices of 65, 92 are conman figures.

I picked a weekday in Jan 2019, rate is rm160 plus rm30 of service charge. It makes more sense.

There is a price war between the various airbnb operators there. The losers are owners who signed up for those revenue sharing deals. If you are going to do airbnb best to sign for rental and revenue sharing deal. The rental should be at market rate or 10% below it.

So the revenue for the owner should be higher than what a straight line calculation based on 100-200 can yield. We need the real feedback from owners who subscribe to these platforms to know what kind of return they are getting.

Is it better than yearly tenancy ? That's the primary interest.

Who has the stats ? Nobody.

We dun even know how many went for long term lease or airbnb.

Maybe can ask in some owner facebook and whatsapp group. If they want to answer.

i think robertson's surrounding neighbours are killing it at airbnb.

some even achieve 100% occupancy rates in certain months.

Pnb only target to complete in 2025 and to get it wong, need another 2 to 3 yrs.....

Purchase price is higher than comparable hotel room and rental rate is cheaper, is financially not feasible.
