i sold off all my sumos...bored of them.
its not big, its not small, it doesn't balance that well on bracelet, even more unbalanced on nato...all cos the case is heavy.

the gap at lugs obviously of cos the long lugs la... but now someone is making curved end rubber straps just for sumo.
*
What's your solution to that then?
I mean, what's a better diver than a Sumo at that price range, in your opinion.
Don't tell me G-Shocks. 😛

ok i wont say gshock.
seeing prices of sumo now due to currency... say squale can?

btw, what makes one diver better than another?
cant say sumo got anything special in its price range over other homage divers... all also 200/300m...SEL...some even got advantage over by having swiss movements...some even wear more comfortable.
sumo only redeeming factor is its so called original design... which is a love hate thing.
then again there are micro brand divers which also have original designs...
perhaps 5-6yrs ago when sumo came out was a good time... but now the times are a changin...  tongue.gif
*
Hmmmm.
Any other suggestions then?

Squale got already. I don't want another Sub. tongue.gif

Well then, that's sorted. Just get the old Shogun :-)

How much are you planning to spend? Might want to have a look at the HydroConquest if you don't want a "Sub" tongue.gif

Anyway saw the new Diver Sixty Five, another diver with leather combo.

Budget is 2k only.
Shogun and HydroConquest both over budget. tongue.gif

Best choice as I see it now is still the Sumo. hmm.gif

Well, I do have SARB035 in my wishlist.
But when I have some extra money, I always end up looking at divers. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 6 2016, 12:18 PM)
those OM isofrane straps dont fit wrists smaller than say 6.75".
real isofrane are designed just abit differently so they can fit down to smaller wrists...but of cos 4-5x more expensive tongue.gif

only issue with both those straps are they dont really take the fat seiko 2.5mm bars...better to also source for the 'skinny fat' bars that sellers like wjean on ebay sells.
*
I have the 7" wrist, and I have the OM iso on my SKX007 now.
I'm at the last hole, the fit is ok, i can put my ring finger in, but still prefer if can be a bit tighter.
I successfully squeezed the fat bars in, and will use some WD40 to get it out if I want. tongue.gif

yea, thats why i said 6.75" or so.
the OM definitely cannot fit my wrist when i put it on my protrek.
isofrane confirm can, but i dont wanna pay rm400+++ for one.

and i think u are suppose to grease the bars first before putting in?
i once tried on a cheap rubber strap without putting in some lube...damn hard to take out... in the end i got irritated so i just cut the rubber strap to remove the bars tongue.gif

ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif
Am I supposed to put WD40 first then?
Damnit.
Just gotta find some new springbars then. tongue.gif

Oh, pictures.

No need wd40 la. I just push it out. Once the 2.5mm fat part pops out, the rest is quite easy to push out.

BTW, u got the sumo already bro?
*
Not yet bro. Just got my funds consolidated. tongue.gif

Why? You have one to sell?
I saw an Orient USA in your instagram.
So cool!
You're selling that too?

How can I differentiate easily between diver watches other than the model name?

Sorry newbie here

SBDC = Sumo?
SRP/SKX = Monster, Tuna, Turtle?  What are the main differences?
SKX007 = ?
*
Take your time bro.
Read about them one by one. biggrin.gif

Actually I do understand a little. A few of my friends said my mm300 looks exactly the same as my other watches... I can haz a sad now they can't tell the difference...
*
Lol.
My wife will also ask me "why do you always want watches that looks exactly the same?"
She refers to SKX007, Sumo, MM300 and so on. tongue.gif

But she likes the Monster.
She says "Now that's different". laugh.gif

Just acquired my first proper automatic watch during the weekend. Initially eyeing for SARB035, however it's out of stock. Couldn't resist the temptation, straight away pull the trigger for the SARB033, no regret as it's absolutely gorgeous as well. cool2.gif

Between SKX007 and Orient Ray, which would be a better choice in terms of fit & finish and reliability of movement?
*
I'd put them as equals.
But the SKX007 has a lot of modding potential and a lot of available good aftermarket parts eg. bracelet, bezel insert etc etc

Wrist watch is tax free.

Bought a couple RM100 to RM2k watches from oversea (skywatches, ebay, etc) before, all no tax.

Not sure about GST nowadays. Haven't bought any since GST being implemented.
*
Used to be tax free.
Now have to pay GST. sad.gif
