went to 1u and just ask one of the shop (pk time) about it. saying that the power reserve doesnt hold long enough, the replied i got was "you watch doesnt have a power reserve, only those that has a power reserve indicator has it. and your watch usually will run within 24hrs.

Not a bad looking seiko 5 especially the black dial with brushed metal/aluminium bezel insert. RM1020 a bit too steep for a seiko 5 imo.

That's the sprc61

QUOTE(lk3 @ Jul 29 2018, 09:33 AM)
guys anyone of you know whr to get good price skx 009 and 007?
wana get one with jubilee bracelet
and wana ask for opinion is it worth paying extra to get the japanese version instead?
*
1. Our ken_jr price is good for the rubber band version, but i dunno the price for his bracelet stocks. Plus, many found that the stock jubilee is too loose and rattly, so they swapped it out for aftermarkets. But hey, to each his own. I have no complaints with the jubilee on my ex 009.

2. Personally for skx007/9 j or k version only differs on the "made in" stamping. Inside and outside it is essentially the same watch, running the same movement and case etc. As for me i have plans of modding the watch so paying extra for the j version is just plain throwing money, which couldve better be used on mod parts.

small shop in ipoh, can pm you if u want to know
not gonna brake his rice bowl but i will pm the shop name if anyone want to know, its in ipoh not so well known, small & kinda old shop recommended by few ppls on fb so i just went to give it a try, though will be meeting old experienced pro sifu, end up this shit happened.

i had to let him send back because he said will bear for half of the charges (even its not my fault doh.gif ), just got the quotation it would be rm100 so i will need to pay rm50 just for the back cover, dont know whats the price range for this part so i will just ask him to show me the quotation first, if not later it is only rm50 but tell me rm100 so he dont have to pay anything for his own fault.

what bother me is the 5 months lead time, too damn long
*
Thong sia msia has a habit of not stocking up spareparts. So if there is any order for parts, they will hold and combine orders for some time before one shot request from seiko japan/china. Hence the farking slow turnaround time. Sometimes you get better luck just ordering parts from western country's seiko dealers but not all of these dealers entertain overseas customers due to their atreement/contract limitations.

Really shocked to find it is this small. Is this real?

Majority of 7s based seiko 5s are below 40mm in size. Big chunk of them are the typical 38mm-ers. Anyway it looks fine on your wrist. Swap out the bracelet for a padded croc strap, it will look much better.

Perhaps it is your preference for large-sized watches, but the trends of big watches is ending and 36-40mm are making a return.

Need service Liao? 6r15 movement

80seconds a day is abit out of spec. Yes, get a watch repairman to have a look at it. Probably just magnetised, if so then no need service.

Most watch repairers would have a demagnetiser. In fact you can even buy one for cheap through aliexpress.

Let's see how long this will remain on the wrist... swapped out the standard Z22 rubber for the silicone strap off my Darth Turtle. Also swapped the buckle, as I felt the all-black theme does not go well with this "fauxtina 007".

A grey or pale blue strap would go along
