well for many people, coffee is just another drink

only a handful of arses like me have expectation towards coffee and go anal over a messed up espresso to milk ratio in a cappuccino laugh.gif
that's why i said... shit baristas can't differentiate latte and cappuccino...
to them because of the long queue, just top up the cappuccino with milk, nobody's going to give a crap if it taste like latte anyway laugh.gif

Malaysia doesn't really have a coffee culture, more like a show off culture.

Starbucks fail in nations where coffee has some standard.

Likewise mass produced Asian food here don't work well.

i worked as a barista before. start work at 8am and continuous non stop until 11am + . This was in Melbourne CBD Queens St. There's absolutely no excuse to give bad coffee even if you have a long line of people waiting.

Somehow now we got coffee hierarchy:

Coffee for Upper tier - starfudge reserve

Coffee for Middle tier - starfudge/coffeebean/san francisco/etc

Coffee for lower tier - kopi o kaw << Always win and always be. Heck even the upper tier and middle tier still go for kopi o kaw

one thing I don't understand. if the place is so packed and full until no place to sit down, why would customers even bother buying a cup to go ?

after all the whole point of upmarket coffee is to sit there for a long time and show off right ?
