QUOTE(daidzz @ Nov 29 2006, 12:29 PM) lol yeh ardi its tertiary not thirdiry XD hmm this is gonna b difficult. we gotta wait fo official news b4 makin a move making a move for what? I doubt they will ban the Live gaming side of the accounts. Looking at the various posts and comments, sounds like its just going to be a content block. Do we have the rights to complain? Probably not. Its licensing rights by the studios and Microsoft cant do nuts about that. |

well like i said before, if they don't block us from downloading stuff OTHER than videos/movies from other than Asian MP, i'm fine by that.
From what i read it seems that you'll posibbly get a warning saying that "you are not allowed to download this content" or something in the likes of it. if they don't kacau game-related stuff, i don't mind then. and well, it's not MS's fault fully..it's the strict copyright stuff from the video industry that forced MS to do this. if MS don't oblige to the copyright matters, MS lose out on deal, MS no richer. simple as that. |

Not only that, some companies like to sue about these stuff, seeing the chance of Microsoft, being the very rich corporation it is, may be able to pay a hell lotta cash if they lost the sue. |

A link article from Xbox-Scene which in turn link to Major Nelson's Blog who happen to be Microsoft's Xbox Live Director of Programming.
--> Major Nelson Confirms Xbox LIVE Country Check I'll put some quote bellow for those who don't have time to read the link. QUOTE We also realize that there may be a small number of international users that were impacted by this change that have a legitimate reason for why their billing location does not match their account location. We are working to deal with these exceptions on a case by case basis and are working on a solution for these consumers. Last time I check, that is us, Malaysian folks ( Singaporean may not apply ---------------------------- Have Phun, Be Safe ---------------------------- |

What about game demo which was meant for US account only? Can we still able to download it off the marketplace?

I doubt it. From what I gather it covers all marketplace contents.

QUOTE(MK84 @ Nov 30 2006, 05:06 PM) well from what i read, it just covers the tv/movie downloads..cos these are the ones that have regional copyright protection issues, and not demos/game related stuff.and from what unusual just said, this seems to be true. |
